Its a matter of facing low grade tackle attempts vs. high grade tackle attempts. Running inside might not gain the yards off those broken tackles, but it definitely helps the broken tackle rate. It doesn't matter that those dlinemen are built to tackle well because they generally are still missing tackles due to attempting diving tackles and ones while being blocked.

researched my on question...

Storm Taurus had 534 broken tackles season 7 (in 828 carries)

HBurg is probably responsible for 100 of those mistackles, haha

They break tackles yeah, but not more than powerbacks. This thread is about most broken tackles so bringing up any HBs name in this thread should emply that they are a powerback.

I wonder what a 90+ elusive running, 90+ balance build would look like on broken tackles? Anyone got anything like that active right now?

My impression has always been that elusive backs don't tend to pump balance like a powerback because they spend those points on stuff like quickness and footwork instead.

Once my HB's build is done he will have 100 Elusive and 93 Balance. Maybe cap booster it to 98, but I'll probably do conditioning instead.
Right now he's at 100 Elusive and 77 Balance.

Jimbo isn't too far off from that.

Quickness and footwork are incredible wastes of skill points...just don't.

That's interesting. His broken tackle per play rate isn't as good as Reggie Wilson even factoring in Reggie's ST carries, and he's got higher Elusive Running and Balance(significantly). Where are you at on SAs with him?

Perhaps Reggie's just got much stronger energy/morale capability and thus plays at a higher level longer into individual plays and games as a whole?

Jimbo also uses a good bit of power running too though. I agree that I wouldn't waste points on them if I was relying upon the Juke to provide some lateral agility when otherwise just running north-south and winning power running/elusive running tackle breaking dice rolls. It's clearly been effective with Jimbo.

Always found it interesting that Spin "ought" to be the ideal SA for a combo back with it's bonuses to power and elusive running dice roll floors... but because it requires footwork to help power it, it loses some of it's luster relative to Juke.

jimbo doesn't have any power rushing SA's (which are huge).

think his power running is mid 60s
