No, but when we're at the 50 we can count on the Kicker booting it. Whether he makes it or not is different. Our defense can get us the ball back in no time, then we drive again. We take FG's and TD's......... and unfortunately sometimes punts.

you have that backwards a good defense doesnt need the extra 10 yards, a terrible defense does.

10 yards doesnt mean much to crappy defenses cause they will probably give up points anyway. 10 yards to a good defense might mean the difference between forcing a punt or FG.

No, a good defense makes the stop with or without the 10 yards. Your definition of a good defense is the Texans, my definition of a good defense is the Seahawks.

The Seahawks aren't just a good D, they're an all-time great D. You can afford more gambles with field position when your D is insane.

That said, I'm curious if its possible for punters in GLB to have a reliable build to pin them inside the 5. Or at least give your gunners an opportunity at downing it within the 5.

I know nothing about GLB punting so I don't really know if that's realistic.

The gunners will down the ball if they're at the point it hits the ground, and if they're not engaged by a blocker. If they're engaged, you need to get lucky that they just happen to break the block at the moment the ball hits the ground. Once it's bounced though, it's going into the endzone.

Wish we could see Vertical matter for that. It'd be awesome to see gunners jump right at the end zone in an attempt to stop it bouncing over their heads.

I'd rather make a team drive 80 yards to score than 60 yards any day.. I'll punt the ball and take my Net Gain of 10-20 yards. Just my opinion.

If you're missing more than you're making at far range the morale gain for making one seems moot
