You are confusing quantity and quality. There are maybe 3 teams from Pro that will potentially be on this list next season, but I know of 2 teams from Galithors list that are done. I assume there will be a couple more.

I think your tier 2 and the original point of the thread resonates that there are a healthy amount of teams that can compete with anyone. Not necessarily 'any given sunday' type flow, but teams that are going to put in a competitive game. I do wish the pool of vet teams was larger though. Still feels rather tight/small.

Ironically we were the closest to beating Minnesota this year, with an all run offense and terrible run defense

Depends on the changes made next season. Also a lot of players are moving to other vet teams.

I tell you one thing...If Winnipag Wraith (or whatever they are called) is staying together until VET then this team will rip everything apart. Holy shit, those RBs are beasts

Yeah, the ladder rankings are misleading. Seems like it took awhile for Wrath's builds to get going. Despite being ranked 6th-7th in the Tier for most of the season (could be 7th after today if Default wins), they're the best team in Jman, with GA right behind them. Especially with Kiwi's folding.

Ladder movement in Jman only happens if one team starts falling way off, so others can get bumped up a spot while just treading water. I think my own team started at ladder rank 69, went 1-6, fell to 72. Have since gone 21-2, yet have only moved up to a Ladder Rank of 70.

Because Wrath got a late start to dominance, they'll probably spend their first season in Vet without being able to play any of the Top 10 teams, unless it's a league match.

Wrath and GA both gonna get hammered in some fashion or another. The strongest offensive meta's been nerfed pretty much every season for awhile now. Powerbacks are on the block.

So far I'm not seeing a Powerback nerf. Pure Passing and Running teams both seem to be pretty damn OP. AA has put up 2700 more yards than Stunners. The pure rushing team with the 2nd most yards have the bulk of it coming from a super speedy QB and an elusive back.

Run blocking in general is going to receive small nerfs every season as current skills get scaled down.

While we have more yards, we also have a lot more total plays since we are a passing team. The Stunners are averaging more yards per play though.

AA takes advantage of the cpu and inactive teams. I wouldn't take their total yards as much an indication of anything.

AA has played more cupcakes than mn. So to say they have 2000 more yards total offense is pretty meaningless when you see that mn would clearly benefit in the yards category if they played AA's schedule.

The only way you can fix the run vs pass focus split is to change the skills to not be split on a run vs pass paradigm. Anything else is a band aid.

It is a totally broken system. The only team that seems to do both really well (that I have seen) is Balanced Minnesota in Pro. Note that I don't watch Vet, so there may be a few others.

I just hate that I have to be a 100% pass team. I was always hoping for something like an 80/20 split and to have that change situationally.
