They aren't an auto "I Win" button but let's not pretend like they don't play a huge role in that.

You don't have enough player son offense IMO. I'm concerned I've cut my own roster too tightly on offense at his point. I can't imagine being another 3 players short. I bet you're just getting crushed by ST plays.

Seriously Steve? GTFO of here with your play-count influenced stats. Even then, you're still piling up MORE total yardage this season than Air Raid is.

Could very well be. Though like I said I can't take much of that to heart without actually seeing any of our main players at 100%. Currently it looks like the addition of LHF's corner for less o players killed us as he is getting lit up. But I don't know. Just trying to play outside the box.

Pass blocking still is over powered IMO
And I think the reason why it seems that passing is OP'd is because if you take a look at the top passing teams, not only in soph but throughout the game, it's the same group of agents running those teams for the most part.

I've seen superstars with terrible builds.
I've seen superstars on teams that are coordinated terribly.
I've seen O superstars on teams with terrible defenses (and vice versa)
I only have 2 superstars on defense -- and one of those was wasted on DT (and the other mostly wasted on DE) does that automatically mean my D should be crappy?
I do agree with this. That's why Air Raid is where it is.
Our S*'s aren't terrible builds.
We're not coordinated terribly, even if it's a bit lazy, it's better than 95% of GLB2.
We do have issues on defense.
As for your success this season, I've already made a pretty big point that I think your ability to leverage high contracts with the morale changes has been HUGE for you this season. It was likely always beneficial, but moreso this season.
The problem is this:
you can do that with a rushing attack focused offense because you only need the 1-2 S* HBs. I can't do that with a passing based offense. If I remove S* QBs and/or pass catchers, I simply go down into the lower 50's completion% range (see: Firelord, Ragnaros the). I'd go from having an offense, to not having an offense. So I can't go with a full roster of multiple high contracts.
Hence, the all-rushing meta is still more powerful than the all-passing meta.

There is no way you can make a legitimate argument to support this when watching how a Spin Cyclist handles an elite pass blocking build, and then watching how an elite run blocking build handles a shed block specialist.
At the very best, I'd say pass blocking, when totally focused, is adequate. It's far simpler to build a player that can beat a pass block than it is to build a player that can beat a run block... and oh by the way, that guy that beats the run block needs to be able to tackle. The spin cyclist doesn't particularly have to be able to tackle to hurry a QB's decision/throw or sack him.

people who know how to build certain positions with the right attributes and have the right tactics for them are good at the game? NO WAY, SHITS BROKEN

There's actual balance here between run and pass. The fact that there's an argument means GLB is really at or super close to a sweet spot in the balance of run and pass. I know I'm planning my S11 team to be a run-centered team, not a pass one.

I think if two things were changed we'd be sitting perfectly in balance.
1. QB's with lots of strength lob passes deep.
2. WR's fall down from the catch less.

Strongly disagree. There are things on both sides of the offensive coin that would be good changes. But just because they need to happen doesn't mean it leads towards balance. Especially when we head towards murdering defenses.

The fall down after catches is just really a killer to a lot of different skills. Most notably tackle breaking and forcing fumbles. Two exciting parts of the sim. Not to mention it is incredibly unrealistic to see guys fall over constantly. If you made it so WR's fell over a hell of a lot less than they currently do, you could lessen the unrealistic parts of the WR screens where the entire defense runs towards the middle of the field a bit and reward tackle breaking WR's a bit more than they currently are. As well as defenders built to force fumbles in the secondary.

It is less about the balance and more about how that balance comes to play. I agree in that both running and passing currently is pretty balanced in a way that they can certainly be comparable in terms of dominance but that also doesn't mean both couldn't use a ton of work still.
