I would say the coach should have an option to select if the team wants to play aggressive against the run or pass or neutral before the game starts. If they select run, they get bonuses to run defense but negative to pass defense. Neutral obviously would not have any bonus. Or you could tier it like Big Bonus vs Run, Little Bonus vs Run, Neutral, Little Bonus vs Pass, Big Bonus vs Pass.

I have always thought this is the only realistic way to go about solving the problem. Not so much the little bonuses just the big ones, and make them really big. It has to be a team tactic not a player tactic.

Ya it really discourages building a team around a group of agents rather than just being a 1-2 man team.

Then have the DC set an overall Tactics adjustment for each player. That way the DC can give everyone +5 to an appropriate skill for the opponent.

I suggested the player-based one because it's a mechanic that exists. Yes it's player-intensive in terms of changing it game to game.

A DC bonus is preferable (IMHO) but it's new coding.

Awareness = audible.....perhaps audible-ing to a play that would stop a play that's been called. or a series of plays designed to stop certain glamor plays. I hate seeing a play over an over in my replay.

Would be nice to have a "hold FB in to block, hold TE in to block, Hold HB in to block, Audible"

Set plays like normal for the WR sets but have a audible extra play. Would be powered by pocket awareness.
