Personally I think your being led atray.

In your pic you show 16k sp unspent which can help your power issues however spending to 30 defl though cheap is something that doesnt really pay dividends. Maybe as last ditch because everything else is expensive however its not worth worrying about.

PD roles on Dline are too random to prove spending to 30 makes a tangible difference.

Ah so this explains why every DT I've ever made is disappointing.

In my mind you've made a very good backside Combo DT. Some changes are needed, but less than some comments.

In reality builds matter when paired with how the DC plays Defense. You have the makings of a very effective backside DT in the right system. The key isn't the build - it's the DC.

What's a "backside" DT? In my view, you're on the Weak side of the D in Run Situations and on the Strong side in Pass. You're never supposed to be the "primary" guy. So why are you valuable? Because with you a DC can recruit/build/have a dedicated Run DT and Pass DT while you fill in the other DT slot depending on situation. Your lack of power means you won't get push or stop power HBs, but not everyone has to. Your player allows the other DTs to over-invest in Run or Pass and then lay the responsibility on the DC to put them in the right situation while you are the "backside combo" DT.
