Or offense needs to be reigned in a bit.

Just seems way too unrealistic. Blowouts should be more like 40-10, not 115-3.

...not that the game needs to be realistic. Just sayin'.

You've got to keep in mind how the superstars impact that result though. If you turn Air Raid and Hawaii into regular player rosters, you see results more like Salty Runback games, which are more ordinary.

And perhaps if you swap a couple Air Raid receiver S*'s into Safety S*s, and a couple of the Hawaii Olinemen S*'s into a CB or FS S*, that result may be different, and much lower scoring. By virtue of weakening the offensive firepower, and increasing the defensive firepower.

And I'm sure there's still plenty of "fix your builds" that both our rosters could do in various spots to be even better on offense or defense. There's no way any of the Season 2 teams have a roster full of players that have zero regrets about how they were built.

Put the number of teams that pride themselves on defenese in one hand.

Then shit in the other hand.

Guess which one'll fill up first.

You'll get a better understanding of how solid a defense with superstars can be when Coruscant hits Vet with Vader, Jabba and the Imperial Zone Defense.

I'm going to do my best to convince the guys on Air Raid to purchase the career boosters so that we can be around when ya'll get up here.

Though it won't matter much if we don't stay that long. You'll see plenty of nutty passing between Logzilla and Default Name on the way up.

Maybe 40 is a little low, let's say 60... That said, of course S* should be considered, and that's fine... but they should be WHY there are 60-10 blowouts... 180-0 though? Seriously?

On a more serious note, I think Ground Assault's combination of superstars and scheme should lead to a pretty solid defense a few seasons down the road. An all rushing attack will probably depress total points scored as well.

Why is Air Raid not rated #1 in the ladder? They've beaten every team above them.

So true.

I don't think we're far off on the balance these days. I do think we need to see some teams with heavier superstar investments on defense and how they fare at the top end of the game. Until then though, I'd probably lean towards some skills on defense may need to be cheaper. And some SA options should be stronger.

While all-run may be balanced with all-pass, is there a balanced run-pass team that (with S*) has as an equivalent offense to either Air Raid or Hawaii?

Not likely. The difference, though, is that a DC can sell out to try to stop Air Raid or Hawaii. You can't sell out against a balanced team, at least not without the risk of being burned if you guess wrong.

See the recent Harrisonburg vs Cobra Kai game as evidence.
