perfect example of a one-trick pony

it's really pretty sad there are so few elite teams that do multiple things on offense

How about some tips for defense - I've found a few things that seem to work marginally well - but it is highly build dependent on that end.

C1 wide dogs

occasionally cover 1 man base will coral it well but it seems to depend on the CB's passing some kind of a vision check (man awareness?)

must be a build issue -- seems I tried that recently and it didn't work for me (though I'll try to go back and look)

never mind - I looked back and it was man DE flat strong that didn't work very well for me

Multiple things is sort of an exaggeration. All the offenses are essentially made up of the same trick plays over and over.

There are ways to stop it.

oh for sure, just saying it's annoying. It's like teams that used to run DAG all day or goalline QB runs all day.

I have about 25 run plays and 25 pass plays in my playbook being used... not too many teams in the top 20 that are doing that from what I've seen. So they are all trick plays?

I'm talking about teams that are pure pass or pure run, with builds being all-in on it, then running 10-15 total different plays

You are making a living off the exact same plays those teams are. *yawn*

I have probably used 20-30 different runs on ground assualt between the two playbooks i run. Just because we are all rushing doesnt mean i shouldnt abuse the fact people will overcommit to one of my playbooks to try to stop us and get burnt by the other.

As for teams building for one extreme or another, that's the nature of the skill system.

It'd be an entirely different situation if pass block power and run block power were a single skill.

Less skills wouldn't make anything any better....

Personally I wish blocking was broken down a lot more than it currently is but I suppose that would make the code quite more complex.
