- With Queen City's couple of losses early this season, feels like Portland's got a shot to make their brief appearance atop the ladder. I'll take Queen City though. Romo doesn't like giving up his throne.

I've been on vacation. In Orlando and will be until Tuesday.

If you've got time to post, you've got time to switch your tactics to your anti-Portland tactics! Don't cost me a correct pick!

Public Taunt:

Randall Cobb was twice invited to join Air Raid in the past. Now he looks up at 2 Air Raid WRs and an Air Raid TE in the HOF.

Get on our level, other passing teams

if you're losing some...that isn't too bad either -- if it is #10 vs #1 and the #10 is trying to climb the ranks -- that game is going to be:

low risk / high reward for #10
high risk / low reward for #1

just based on the way the ELO works as we seem to understand it.

But for those teams (Hawaii being the example they are using here) who are hoping to climb to the top of the ladder eventually (including yours and mine) I think we'd all choose to be in a stacked league -- with top teams...rather than a garbage league with mediocre teams. It is more fun -- your ladder advantages are stronger with league games -- etc.

Sure -if you're number 15 and stuck with the #8 and #3 global ranked team in your division...you're probably not happy.

Id definitely rather be in a more competitive league for fun purposes, but its very likely that all the top teams are a lot closer in ELO than we might imagine, in which case playing worse teams but having higher win percentage might help your ranking more than playing better teams and attaining a lower win percentage.

Ideally the whole point of a good ELO system is that it shouldn't be an advantage either way.

I run one playbook and just alter it. From mobile that's too much work.

You're screwed.

trash talking? really? you've only played 2 decent teams this year... we just played our 5th... 3 OVERALL top 4 teams the last 3 ladder games...

not remotely shocking your guys are putting up huge numbers

So far I've only missed my Harrisonburg over NJ pick

Have no idea what kinda offense Detroit runs so didn't know what playbook to use. Feel pretty good escaping with that win tho.

Agreed. Sometimes I'm ambitious and run a scout but that's pretty rare for time.

that makes absolutely no sense... I don't post any more when we win than if we lose. If anything, I might actually post more when we lose.
