Adder keeps telling me to put dives back into the playbook to deal with these quarters spam defenses. I'm a stubborn guy. Still think we're this last little bit of SA and skill point investment away from effectively running a lolnocares passing attack, regardless of the defensive scheme.

I'm gonna give it at least a season to try and break the game in veteran. If it doesn't work out, I'll put dives back in the playbook on first downs and short yardage

It's not a quarters spam defense. It's a one-dimensional offense. You should listen to Adder.

Oh, and Rom_Fox! you and your merry band of artists formerly known as the loungers are going to suffer incredible pain today.

I'm not changing a single thing on offense. Haven't pretty much all season. Stop us if you can

Speaking of incredible pain, how are Cleveland's touchdown/INT totals after today's game?

i ran quarter defense against 5wr and had a single quarter option against 4wr (with dimes and other options etc.)

trying to keep 1 more db on the field than WRs seems like the right play against a passing team, a few dives wouldn't do anything to alter that

there are some nice defenses that can deal with 4wr dives fairly well and hold their own against passes, if Air Raid wants to take Phillip Fry off the field and go all 4 WR I suppose that's a win for the defense

Shorter: One dimensional running games in GLB2: #1 ladder; One dimensional passing games in GLB2:

I was mostly defending myself from accusations of spamming *sniff*

I suspect the best teams can have generally one dimensional passing attacks that are largely unstoppable

Not when their time of possession is 19 minutes

Meh. We have a couple WTF games every season on offense like this. It happens. Annoying that the sim picked today to screw us over since I trash talked before the game, but oh well.

Just ask USC

Or me when we lose to Glasgow tomorrow

coincidentally, the veteran free agent market ought to be a sweet owners market this offseason. With the loss of so many pro teams last season, I made a bunch of nice pickups last offseason. Now owners get to shop around through all the guys parking veterans on the sidelines from Season 1 and Season 2

that's a nice change from every other season when it has been a player's market and you can't find anyone to sign!

FWIW I'm only being snarky about this because the inability for people to get human run teams is helping to crater the game and probably isn't something to support (in my opinion - I understand if Cornbort and company see things very differently)

I'd put our odds at winning out, and therefore you re-upping the team, at about 20% at the high end.

We only want to perform at a high level. We can't be like Air Raid and consistently lose in the playoffs and ladder and keep our self respect as a squad.
