Why were people assuming h2h was skipped?

Can you explain what happened in tiger league? Im assuming division record is why wrath got in but then dakota should of gotten in on hth.

I get what you are saying, however.... I don't think that is a particularly good system. Nor one that is posted (leading to too much conjecture).

I won't hook thread because its posted already in my suggestion but strictly points isn't a great system since it rewards already weaker divisions (again I have no issue with MCM and Warsaw making it.. but just in general). - IE if you have a CPU team in your division you are likely to shut them out twice a season and score a ton of points.

Why I prefer quality wins or net differential in head to head matchups.

Above all while keeping the game mechanics secret I get (so that people don't min / max)... I see zero benefit to doing so in the case of the tiebreakers.

I never said it is a good system

And I totally agree. The players have to know how tie breakers work exactlly, everything else makes no sense. Right now, we have a quote here and there but nothing that is kind of offical or in depth.

If you have a 3+-team-tie with teams from different divisions, you have one problem. Teams have a different number of games against each other, so you cant look at matchup numbers. e.g. Tiger: Music City and Warsaw played 3 games within the 3 teams of the tie, while Dakota only played 2 games.

I am pretty sure [...] Tiger (Dakota) was decided by points for because Music City and Dakota were tied at points against. This would be very funny (if you have no connection with Dakota), because, if they had given up a point more (or less), they would be in the playoffs.

The thing is that dakota won the hth vs music so it should of never got to points for

First you determine division winners.

Alpha

Music City tied with Wrath. Split head to head, Music City has less points allowed so they win division.

Beta

Minnesota tied with Thunder. Split head to head, Minnesota has less points allowed so they win division.

Gamma

Clearly Portlan wins division.

This leaves over Wrath and Dire Wolves for WC spot. Warsaw won the head 2 head so they are in.

Pretty simple imo.

First declare a divisional winner, then declare remainder teams for wildcard.

GLB breaks all ties at once not divisions first and than wildcard. So H2H gets skipped because of uneven games played, points allowed gets skipped because two teams are tied --> The two teams with the most points scored make it to the playoffs. It is not a good or the right way to break the tie(s) on hand, but it seems to be the way it was decided.

How do you figure... look at my write up... determines division first clearly and works out exactly how it played out.

Except Music City was the wildcard winner according to the fact they got Ronin in the first round.

This time it was luck, because two teams were tied at points against, so it went to points for. You can see that, because Warsaw won Alpha (plays first playoff game at home) and isnt second like you said. You can check all past seasons, it breaks all ties at once.

Exactly. It is inconsistent especially when you look at the results from Madison compared to Tiger. I get Evil's point; but how on Earth should we be better off giving up 258 points versus 257?

Touche..... missed the WC assignment.

Though I have gone through each league and mapped it all out correctly except when I do it this way which does play into your interleague situation.

3 teams tied at 11-3 due to cross league tie need to determine an order or rankings.

Music City and Dakota both tie for points against so instantly they need to tie break so they go to points for, and Music City wins puts them at Rank 1.

Wrath beat Dakota in a h2h so they get the Rank 2

Dakota gets Rank 3.

Then based off these rankings we determine who wins division and then wildcard and doing this makes sense, now, again grasping straws but can this methodology continue on.

Its an order of if/else statements essentially....

I mean really just needs to come from the horses mouth how this all works!

Witty comments like that earn you a coupon for a free teeth cleaning. I am currently working on my by mail dentistry degree from a high reputable south american finishing school whose dean is starting over after having spent the last two decades in the joint. For only $95 my certificate to practice should be here soon and I would honored to have you as my first patient.

Except that Wrath won the division putting them in ahead of MCM who is the wildcard playing Ronin.
