please tell me this isn't true...

What's the point in having two tiers combining into one if they don't play each other in-league? That would be stupid

Leagues are built for rivalries, hence the emphasis to keep them together.

no, it's stupid because previously pro teams will have a MUCH harder time moving up the ladder than previously higher tier teams that are in the same league and ranked higher, and we have to continue beating the tar out of bad teams that hurt our ranking.

He's right - he's never going to get gifs if he's stuck in a league with Hawaii

This is one of the most surprisingly good movies I have even seen. I didn't think that smashing Owen Wilson, Jack Black, and Steve Martin together in a movie would work, especially a movie about who can see the most species of birds in a year. But they treated the subject with great reverence instead of always going for the cheap laugh.

A surprisingly good movie. I'm ashamed to say I've seen it more than once.

Playing bad teams doesn't hurt your ranking.

I actually want to see the points for tie as well, so that I can see what the next break would be.

Well .. if they want to keep the rivalries in tact, they need to discourage owners from disbanding the teams. The 500 fps/season is harsh. Probably glb2 should just charge owners an up front fee that lasts 4 or 8 seasons or so, and so owners don't decide to not renew due to fp costs, because they paid up front.

First, that's not how it works. Second, why do you think S2 teams are more likely to be bad than S1 teams?

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. There's 8 Vet+Pro leagues right now, and 89 non-cpu teams between them. If just 5 teams fold in the offseason, a league breaks and there will be some team mixing. That seems highly likely, and I wouldn't be surprised if enough teams folded to break 2 leagues.

Most of those teams restart rather than disband. That is just a problem you aren't gonna get around.

I don't... in fact, the opposite. I think people were more knowledgeable about builds the second season, leading to better builds.

What I'm saying is it's going to be much tougher moving up the ladder consistently playing lower ranked teams. At the beginning of next season SP-wise the S1 and S2 teams will finally be leveled out, but starting the season the average ranking of a S1 opponent team will be much higher, making it much harder to move up.
