I believe I know you from a former life. GLB2 is by far a superior game.

I maybe complaining about "tie-breaker gate" atm; but there is no comparison in terms of game enjoyment and team diversity.

Well if glb1 wasn't on its last leg and was still refreshing its sim annually it really would be the superior game by all accounts. But of course that idea is dead in the water and this games stock can only rise with improvements over time.

Glb2 is less stressful from a player building point of view. Building a competitive dot in glb1 took seasons and seasons of planning and slow building to get a viable dot just for a few seasons of Pro League. Takes way too long.

Glb2 requires careful thought in the initial player creation but afterwards is more fun to watch and build. Player build progression is much more natural and teams can try to be competitive from season 1.

Where Glb1 has a bit of an upper hand is in game planning for offensive and defensive coordinators. Glb1 gives game planners much more control over the plays being run. For example, you can put in a pass catching RB on 3rd downs. In response the D coordinator can switch to a different scheme if it sees the pass catching RB on the field. Same thing with a running QB vs a passing QB. The D Cooridinator can run a different set of plays depending on who is on the field. It's a lot more work, but it allows a diligent coach to make a bigger impact.

Glb2 feels like Rock Paper Scissors in comparison.

Still, I can never go back to the player building system of GLB1. Making a dot, and maintaining it every day so I can see a payoff nine months later isn't for me.

While GLB1 player building is a bit too slow and methodical, GLB2 player building is almost comically simple.

I have blocking FB's and TE's that have essentially maxed their relevant stats by Seasoned league. If anyone needs to wonder why Run Specific or Pass Specific teams dominate so much it is because it is like OMG easy to build them and defense tactics are absolutely terrible to the point where it doesn't really matter you know exactly what a team is gonna because you probably are stuck running only one or 2 defensive plays in fear everything is going to be fucked up.

I can get by with the building methods being simple as I get that the only thing that will change there is more SA's but if we could at least give some more thought to the DAI it would be much appreciated for everyone.

1 was fun but it has run its course. Might be fun to try out for the first time if you are a new user just to see which version you like more but for most Vets, the game has gotten old. GLB1 is not nearly as active and leagues seem to be dying off more and more every season. For longevity, GLB2 is the game to get involved in.

So this is not totally accurate. GLB has had a lot of defectors but I see a lot of agents coming back. For the first time GLB is creating more players than GLB2 this offseason...

GLB 5500 players created so far

GLB2 4250 players created so far

Less and less teams every season means you are likely over hyping those created players for glb1. But hey to each their own.

Dont know if there is Less and Less I was just pointing out that GLB is creating more Rookies than GLB2. I wish GLB was back to when is was cranking at it highest level. I just makes me feel better that it should be around for a while yet. Im not a big fan of GLB2 but I have been playing GLB since season 2. It has become one of those things that I do daily to help with the boredom of life. I still yell at my laptop when the AI does the complete opposite of what I want it to do. I might get bored in another 30 seasons if its still around.

I'm a veteran of GLB Classic and just made the transition over to GLB2 recently...
From my experience GLB Classic was great until a few things ushered in its downfall...
As long as those same things don't happen here on GLB2, things should be fine...
From my short experience here with GLB2 I must say it is impressive but it can also be so much more if all the focus was on it
