I wonder when someone will challenge me at #1 Defensive HoF

Akeem "The Dream" Jordan has been #1 basically the last 3 seasons

so romo you are saying that since hawaii plays ladder games against teams above their level in their ladder they get more pancakes then you? or what do you mean by competition?

yea, FFs are really the only thing keeping me ahead, that and bronco being two seasons back... Jordan/Haley are kind of a outside bliting duo, while Bronco is kind of a one-man wrecking crew looking at the plays you run... I'll probably win Overall GLB2 Defensive Player of the Season again this year, just beause of the age gap (going for 3rd straight), but doubt I will again next season... I think Broncos time will prob come then

I unfortunately don't blitz now anywhere near as much as I used to, and when I do, Jordan time-shares with Haley... he makes up for it by basically causing a FF every other sack.

Two parts, largely #1:

1. As builds aged, they became harder to pancake (people addressing skills like hold ground on their defenders later rather than earlier, as the prioritization has been in the physical and 'main' function skills). It's easy to see it on my blocking WRs, where they peaked from a raw pancake perspective in season 3.

Hawaii gets 14 games against Professional level teams, where pancakes are easier to come by than in Veteran.

2. While Hawaii plays teams above their age, they also are playing more of the mediocre/bad Veteran teams. Being ranked #1 in the ladder Queen City doesn't get exposure to them (via the ladder). Hawaii is down at #13, so they get to touch teams who are in that mid to high 20's range. I've only played two teams in ladder play that were outside the top 10 (Legacy and American Hustlers).

This is one of the single DUMBEST arguments I've ever seen posted on these boards... You do realize there is something like a 18000 XP difference between Vet and Pro guys right now?

QC has NEVER played anyone with more XP than them, so the only equivalent is if Hawaii only played in-tier opponents such as Salty, the rest of the top 10ish Pros, and maybe a Seasoned Minnesota... in which you absolutely better believe they would rack up more pancakes than they would now. You can't use the rank argument, because even though I'm ranked below roughly 25 higher tier teams, I'm better than a good amount of the ones ahead of me... just look at what's hurt the rankings of pro teams. Is it to higher tier teams? no, it's to same-tier in-league opponents (ex - I'm 7-1 against Vet, 8-3 vs Pro this season). Once the current Pro and Vet teams get on the same level, you absolutely will see the Pros fly up the ladder (assuming elo allows us).

Even mediocre vet teams still should have their O-Lines built to a point they can counter, especially with that big XP difference... pancakes unlike quite a few others stats, are much less a outcome of tactics than builds. If you want to see who racks up more, you'll see next season (assuming neither of you play Minnesota, etc lower tier teams)

You typically post pretty knowledgeable stuff, but this attempt was pretty bad

hmm so your 2 points is that

1 builds aren't fully developed and you assume hold ground is one of the last things people focus on?
well then we could compare like alan kelly's so far 347 cakes vs Wilder's 263 last season which was on same age well except alan faced more higher ranked opponents in ladder then Wilder which isn't relevant since alan still beat's wilder's last season.

Another point is the assumption that people haven't boosted hold ground. well i think many people in season 2 was more aware on running...at least if they had looked at season 1 teams, so they proberly have boosted hold ground more then the average season 1 team in builds. but this is an assumption like yours so i wouldn't say it's a good argument

the last thing for this subject is your assumption that like QCB Hawaii is a pure running team that only cakes on run plays with 100 power and tech (since we use S*) which we aren't. though we run a lot

2 we play more bad teams in ladder
well this is partly true we do play worse teams then you, but they still have more points on us, while you got the same points

and i'm happy you can realise you are butthurt about hawaii got higher ranked people then you

Boogie Men OL will be 1-2-3 at OT and G once we get to vet so hopefully that'll help settle any dispute.
