You know, I don't think the offenses are the issue. I really think that passing teams are the most disadvantaged on special teams. That's what needs to be balanced.

don't disagree. I've mentioned a few suggestions to help pass blockers on STs the last few seasons.

Another upset win for the Las Vegas Vipers. Our first game (and only loss) was when we were mostly CPU's, but people don't seem to realize that. But thats okay, we're fine with flying under the radar

Ouch, GG Kiwi. IBP wasn't ready for the big leagues I guess, and facing off against the coach I'm learning from offensively this early wasn't ideal for sure.
On the other hand, well done Vipers another good game. Happy at least my defensive calls are on.

And by "ready for the big leagues" you mean "run a bunch of QB rollouts on offense, and the couple plays that do the best job of containing it on defense".
Tactically, it's not terribly more complicated than that from the rookie standpoint. On player builds, it matters more. What skills you choose to pump up first have a direct impact on whether you can roflstomp using proper tactics in rookie.

I'm actually on the side of I think its a bit off that spamming rollouts is the "best" offense at any level.
I would rather have a balanced playbook but even very short passes got my QB sacked a ton today, so if I cant compensate for the blitzes I know are coming by quick passes to players left by blitzers... May as well just run the ball all game. I don't like it, its not football its play the sim. I'd love to pass more personally.

the passing and "balanced" stuff relies on more skill points. Pass Blockers just can't hold blocks yet consistently, even against uninvested pass rushers. It's the same issue for the inside running game. Run-blocking isn't quite there yet this early, so HBs have to deal with more tacklers inside regularly, and they're less capable of breaking tackles themselves.
That's why the rollouts are dirty. They require fewer things to go right with the HB has an extra blocker to potentially have a critical win for the offense on any given play. Put a bunch of sprinting on your QB, and he can turn that critical win into touchdowns regularly instead of just 8-20 yard gains.

Pretty much all this. With the difficulties of passing and sustaining drives, it's much easier just to go for the homerun play. I've faced these types of teams for a few seasons now and I figured I might as well try it.

That said, HBs do become considerably more dangerous as time moves on, and Passing doesn't abjectly suck forever.
Assuming the builds are cohesive and work together and such.

And that's what I meant by we weren't ready for the big leagues I guess. I wasn't ready to do that, despite knowing from being with you on the Ospreys championship last season how effective it is. I wanted to still try another way a little bit while still employing the same play when needed. I know better now.
