It's been hard to justify skimping on her passing stats during the season though. Less of the awarenesses would have lead to more sacks, which wouldn't have helped the whole morale thing. Less accuracy and technique ... well, that didn't seem like a good idea. And pass power actually mattered this season, so she needed at least *some* of that.

And he wonders why he spiraled out of control.... really. It has been known about the blocking in QB so can't argue didn't know you needed toughness.

That was his worst game of his career but I have seen games from 30-80%. It's all relative and every quarterback will have off games and on games.

Thanks guys for sharing.

Certainly not condemning your build strategy:

This season:
96.5 QB rating
56% completion
81 TDs
7 Ints

(^ plenty of blowouts padding stats for sure).

So all in all - in spite of this one horrendously bad performance - a great QB.

I suppose with limited condition / heart / toughness - that is the risk -- an incredible egg layed on occasion. But looking at the big picture -- probably worth it as the points have been spent elsewhere and led to lots of good to great games.

The fact that you've avoided a massive morale death spiral this bad to this point probably speaks to how good the build is in the other important skills -- how good the coordinators are -- and how well the rest of the team is built.

It doesn't really seem 'quit worthy' to me - but I understand there are lots of other factors.

I know its not exactly the same - but it happens elsewhere as well.
I have a RB who out of nowhere had a 4 fumble league game in a blow out win vs a not great team
The dude complaining the other day that his rookie TE dropped 7 of 10 balls in a game (with amazing performances in other games)
I'm sure everyone here could give examples.

That's the potential of a skill based / build based / RNG included game though - occasional outlier games.

I just watched the game. Looked at the box score after and was in shock. Didn't look that bad, but I did notice your entire offense having no morale what so ever pretty early in the game.

Surprised you guys didn't stick to the run, it was killing us early in the game. My offense is build to defend the pass, but I doubt I do anything special. You QB neglecting Conditioning/Toughness/Heart doesn't help, neither does falling behind and calling deep routes. However, that completion percentage is still shocking.

It's been known ... by whom? Was it the splediferous documentation that this game has that was supposed to tell me that?

People have known for a few seasons that the we tried to go block after pitching or handing off. It is a flaw but yes they have done it for a whole. You know know the game does it adjust for it

yes he has no idea how to play the game - he's shown no ability to craft a quality defense and have a winning team, it's all because Xav and Jude had a bad game

/s off

i guarantee you if the herders go forward elanor will be a very successful QB

I would like to give a GG to tezed. It's really not the fact that we lost to a good team like you guys have that made this a particularly frustrating game.

In general, I'd also like to emphasize to everyone that Xav and I are two completely different people and that while Xav has been OC'ing the Cat Herders this season, Eleanor is my toon. I think there's been some confusion on those points in this thread.

Really? Do you not watch replays? That might explain it.

I'm the team's DC so I tend to may more attention to that side of the ball when I watch replays ... but it was honestly not something that had ever jumped out at me.

I do have to say that the whole "let's aggressively avoid documenting anything and then get snide at people when they're unaware of unintuitive game mechanics" thing is the #1 thing about this game that makes me want to follow Xav's lead vis a vis throwing my hands up in disgust and walking away from it.

wait! the game is documented in the replays? i had no idea /s

and that is a successful dot - on a successful team - so what there is a hole in the build at sophomore level? are you suggesting that means he never watches a replay? never looks at his build with a thought towards the future? of course he does

look Xav is frustrated and bored with the game, arguably he's accomplished about all he could really so is it surprising that he's tired of it? the game is frustrating in a lot of ways because of how hard it is to get to things to work the way you'd think (like playcalling which has been broken for a while in various ways and the year of lost depth charts when players had a 33% random factor on how they were lining up). some of that is part of learning the tricks and some is the shifting sands on which the game is built.

Xav was going to write the official documentation via agreement with cornjob and company - it's bothersome to me that this coincided with the collapse of his interest in the game

at any rate the whole 'anger and insulting of someone leaving a game' is as old a tradition as the 'i'm out of here' post so I guess people with a certain mindset have to indulge that need
