An "affineur" is the one who ages the cheese - basically monitoring it as it ages, applying whatever may need to be done to keep it just so, and generally is the one who then sells it to the consumer.

The owner has a bit of a thing for fine cheese.

No worries, even though we beat a Journeyman opponent ten ranks above Minnesota's opponent, we ended up still one rank behind the Stunners, right where we started the day.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Not sure why you'd want that. Your GL spam works against the dregs of Journeyman (which is why they became dregs), but it doesn't work against better teams that know what's coming.

A one-trick pony only makes money in a new town. Thought they still taught that in clown college.

One trick pony haha. Love it. Weird that something like a pure running team is so easy to stop but many just can't do it.

was it nice earning trophies in the lolleagues you were/are in?

It's hard because the sim's flaws make it hard, or at least harder than the cares most people are willing to expend on a clearly broke-ass game. Problem is, in exposing those flaws, you're driving cares down even further (perhaps rightfully so) and benefiting from the situation coming and going. Hence your smugness, which, well...yay for you, I guess.

As far as my team goes, we can only play where we're placed. Sorry if that irritates you.

I keep waiting for the Philadelphia Continentals to lose but it isn't happening. They have started the season 11-0 and won the last 12 games of last season. So that gives them a 23 game winning streak and currently the #2 ranking in the ladder. Impressive run to say the least. My only question is when they will face a top 10 team?

This new ladder system is nice because we don't have as many repeat matches, but it also sucks because the top teams in the ladder are rarely facing each other.

I agree. 1, 2, 3, 4 should play at least every 3rd ladder game to make sure there is a chance at passing each other.

Wilson has Philly at #2, their competition there is a #12, and #27.

Madison has 4 in the top 10, then #22, #26, #29. Wicked competition in Madison

We have faced a few top 10 teams (Tuskenraiders twice, '95 Huskers) during the streak, but not as many as we'd have liked to. It's made it difficult for us to gain ladder ranks as the ELO system doesn't reward playing lower-ranked opponents like it does higher-ranked ones. Also, it's harder to improve the team without playing top-ranked teams on a regular basis, or at least paying insane amounts of flex to scrim said teams when trying out new sets.

I agree the ladder system still needs work. It'd be swell to have a season where our guys actually get some respect rather than buckets of crap about the league we're in. Then again, really not sure this game has much going for it long-term so I'm not sure it's even going to matter.

Could happen. We've already drawn the Ann Arbor Wolverines game before last.

Looks like I am closer to the bottom half of the top 10 here so im probably about 4 quality wins from getting close to any of the top 3-4.

How the hell are you 10-1 and only #37 in your tier? You are going to wreck a lot of seasoned teams dreams.

You just want to draw people higher than you overall doesn't matter if it's a high ranked season team or not! That said pls don't draw Tuskenraiders.
