Based on how the play previously worked, I imagine it means the FS will stay put no matter the formation called on offense. He won't move to cover a man.

Why no LBs?

My blitz and coverage defenses all fired properly. Make sure the blitz isn't a run defense only or it will not fire correctly with a pass play unless you set it up properly.

Thx Trojan, that makes sense but it wasnt like this before? right? I mean back in S2 I used to blitz MO and DAG, ZEB at 3-4WR and it would fire no probs.

Sorry, I havent read up on updates and stuff since S2 since I stopped DC'ing for lack of time. You saying MO being and inside run play wont fire on a pass play anymore?

No, middle overload was changed to inside run defense, so you have to get it called the same way everyone used to get storm blitz called.

Yea I know mid changed, and maybe zeb but I'm not sure. Sure fire way to make them run 100% time is throw in a run defense only play at 1 and the other play the blitz you want and set it to 100% blitz and one of the pass (usually pass short for me) to 100%

You might want to go look really, really carefully at the play...and then go fix your tactics.

I think op is onto something. Blitzes that are labeled as short pass are not firing vs 3 and 4 wr sets.
