Your team ownership will expire soon

Dear pottsman,

This is an automated message.

The ownership of your team, the Band Of The Red Hand, will expire at the end of the season. You can still renew your ownership by clicking on the "Renew Team" button on your team's profile. If you do not renew your ownership, the team will be removed from the game.

Please contact customer support if you have any questions.

Not sure what the rush to revoke teams from your users is...

We should have the entire season to extend our team...

Prolly the need to reshuffle leagues immediately as well as free up agents so they're not stuck on teams that might not renew.

no, but it'd be nice to be able to buy the team now and try to rebuild with the overabundance of pro players out there.

New teams have to be added and leagues have to be sorted. Doing that at season rollover would be even more disasterous.

The only reason this thread has not been locked with negative votes is because we all wan't to laugh at Jampy.

Given that top teams folding is an issue if I was GLB admin I'd be contacting almost every team that's folding a week before the end of season to make sure they do wish to fold. Might be able to convince a few to stick around and keep some of those S1 players on a team. As an owner I like the marketplace but as a player it must suck.

I don't think this is an issue, I think its Jampy complaining that he had 50 days to click a button and since he didn't click the button its the games fault he didn't click the button.

Jampy's right you should be able to renew from day 1 of the new season. Should be able to renew right now.

So teams that haven't renewed YET get relegated to the 'dirty laundry' league and if they fold it becomes a d-league/undesirable-crappy league. Run the leagues in tiers like GLB1 and let people know that they have to renew before the shuffle date or thay run the risk of being relegated?

I don't think this is the main issue in my mind though, the main issue with teams dropping off is that there is no way whatsoever to make new teams in higher leagues... it is a way to FORCE people to retire players and lose out on all the time they spent on a player.

There needs to be a solution aside from just retirement, it is a sure-fire way to drive away players if the first team they get on disappears and they are told 'lol gotta restart noob' It just seems like 0 forethought was put into the decision to not allow teams above rookie to be purchased. I'd rather have a rag-tag bunch of guys just trying to get things working at the bottom of my league than a CPU team.

This is what it fucking boils down to.

Everything on this POS is a fucking plot to screw you over in the end. Instead of fucking customer service, its much easier to have their admins say "Oh sorry teams are perma gone" after not paying...

What kinda bullshit? This business model is unheard of.

Don't give users a definite date, if users miss unknown date, the penalty is indefinite and experience breaking.

It's just plain stupid man, and there are 2 solutions to this problem.

1. Put the damn date on the calendar and on PMs. It shouldn't be a guessing game when people have to extend the team. Give us 12:00 ST on so and so date.

2. Give a 24 hour grace period after teams have gone CPU, where players on the team act like FAs and the Owner is alerted his team has gone CPU and he must purchase the team ASAP to avoid it going into Limbo.

Why is that not the case right now? WG would rather watch you retire your players and start all over again (which is the prime moneymaker in glb2) because you can't find a team than give you another chance to keep your players and teams going. They know the 500 flex per season is chicken change when it comes to cost of player building.

Honestly I've never been more disgusted with the way this whole operation is being run than now.

Just wondering if any of the suggestions listed has been implemented, or is this just another wasteland like GLB Suggestion forum.

They increased the size of the sig box to fit a quote. I believe that is 100% of the implemented suggestions.
