So really they both went 2-5.

Regardless though he couldn't get to you with the blitz so whether being OLB blitz or the coverage a lot of it was mostly luck based.

We went for 19, 15, and the extremely decisive 54 yards against Man OLB Fire on 3rd and 1. It might have been a good idea to encourage us to dump it off to something shorter. Those balls "could" have gone anywhere, but letting them go to Fry and Addai downfield due to single coverage isn't a particularly good choice I'd say.

Maybe. 3rd and 1 is a weird down.

The 54 yard play obviously stings but I don't think you get much different outcomes than 2 for 3 for 44 yards outside of that with coverage against the plays you use unless SB Big fires.

I'll grant you that. 2 Man Under Robber is a fantastic defense against TE Clearout. I view that as an opportunity to expand my SB Big playcalling to discourage robbers though

I feel the same way with Big I TE Deep Corners.

Had another thought about the Harry v Air Raid game last night, but wasn't around a computer to share it.

Harrisonburg only carries 4 CBs and 3 Safeties. For them to go with considerable nickle and quarters looks, it's pretty impressive they were able to cover as well as they did with the heavy energy burn on their secondary. That's a team that's built to do the 2CB formation blitzes. They didn't even have enough CBs to fully field 5 CBs for the 3-Man Deep calls.

Honestly cb5 is useless anyways for the most part in this game using c3.

That's cause you don't realize you have a TE on your roster

Cb5 still has very little help in every play you run.

Also I have 3 te's on rusty and no superstars so everyone gets pretty equal use.

GG Hawaii - I threw a mix of crap to see what might work against a running team since I haven't seen one in about 12 games

someone needs to put a bullet into Storm Taurus though ...

I learned a lot from it I think, in about 50 more games maybe I could actually do something useful about it
