98 KO Power, currently 39 Kick Consistency. Hopefully his owner won't mind my sharing some numbers for research purposes.

Anyone can have 98 kickoff power by midway through the sophomore season. I'll frankly be surprised if we ever see too many boosted and/or higher than seasoned KO specialists at endgame. You can get 99% of their value by just constantly recycling an unboosted guy every couple seasons.

Obviously from my previous pimping of the strategy, I feel like KO specialists are very, very worth it if you can spare the roster spot.

His owner probably won't mind since his build is open.

Also he does realize that if Coverage Commander ever starts working it is guided by Heart right?

I told him to Gold CC in case it ever works. It's not like we won't be able to pump heart then if we need it

Coverage Commander working might make me change my mind on just recycling at the end of Seasoned age for a KO specialist. Could be better to keep them for journeyman and professional and just recycle back to a seasoned guy if CC and the extra points for Heart become worthwhile. We might see D-leagues filled with KO specialists at rookie/sophomore levels in a few more seasons, lol.

I also think if he got his conditioning up to 25, it'd help a good bit too, since energy drain likely does somewhat nerf his TB numbers.

Try this, in theory conditioning and consistency

I had a thought about accuracy for target purposes and angles

Air Raid vs Harrisonburg today featured two tier -1 kickoff specialists. Of 9 kickoffs, 8 were for touchbacks.

If you wanna eliminate the threat of big returns from your situation, you absolutely want a max power kickoff specialist.

Exactly. Very important to have a ko specialist. It opens the game up for more strategy

Ok so saying KO specialist are the way to go. What about someone lower leveled? That was maxing out KO power.

Bro I'm new so you talking to a rookie player. I've did my homework though. I built a ko specialist for my rookie team and I can't count how many times they started the possession near the 20 versus when I first started, my old kicker would have them starting at the 35/40 huge difference

I absolutely would advise you to use a lower leveled player for KO specialist if you need to free up the salary. Your salary/roster situation will dictate what you can/can't do ultimately.

Yep as long as you have a good amount in that. No reason to pay big pockets

Roster position I wouldn't want to free up. You force more fumbles than you permit returns in this game.

depends on who you're playing. I'd rather avoid kicking to the better rush first teams with big pancaking STs.

Just to revive an old topic with some fresh numbers,

Our kickoff specialist built by tezed has been fantastic this season.

92 touchbacks on 136 Kickoffs. That's 67.6% touchbacks. He's up to 64 heart, and has gold coverage commander now. Build's open to anyone that wants to look at it from what I can recall.
