and portugal being down some players heading into the next match helps alot.

Honestly, getting through the group or not, just winning their first match is better than I thought they would do by far.

Actually, I don't think they looked very good tonight. They aren't very good at controlling the ball, spacing out to pass the ball or attacking the ball.

I'll take the 3 points but they better play better against Portugal and Germany.

Usa looked like shit. Couldn't pass or control a pass or keep possession or win any one on ones. Ghana was creating scoring chances every 2 minutes or so. Just awful to watch especially after watching germany.

Luckiky Portugal looked not only bad but lazy and I'd they play like that again I liked our chances

Exactly. Coming off that game we were fortunate Ghana couldn't hit a broad side of a barn. Defenders were out of position, no ball control, no discipline moving the ball, the only real bright spot for me was the US goalie keeping his composure under pressure like that, but could possibly be purely based on how bad Ghana looked at shooting.

i read an article last night that really went into depth about it...alot of people say that the us looked like shit..and yes michael bradley played poorly and they had a lot of issues controlling the ball on the offensive side...but the article broke it down how the us actually played it smart, they were forcing ghana to send crosses into the middle to try to have any offense..they attempted more crosses then any other team..and if you can force a team to do that all day you will be fine. the one time they slipped up and didn't force a cross is when they got beat for the goal...yeah ghana had some other close shots and the us did get lucky but i think the us played a lot better then people give them credit for.
