It is really amazing to me how we're this far into the game and rookie teams are still drawing teams multiple tiers higher. Are these devs stupid or something? Like, how hard is it to say "Only match up teams within the same tier"? How is this still a thing? Completely destroys the competitiveness of the ladder system and game in general.

Lol...I just reported you accidently^^ Missclicked there, sorry man.
To ur post, yeah it sucks. Im confident that we get a change on this in offseason tho, so just take it as it is for now.

Ladder rankings for top 10 rookie are heavily based on whether you've been lucky enough to avoid a journeyman matchup

A better way to put that factoid:
When the Cat Herder OC actually sets a gameplan, the Cat Herders are 14-0.
And no, this isn't "ZOMG SCOUT O". I suspect the scout O gameplan would actually score points.
This is the hysterical (seriously. it kills me) fact that the OC has thought he has set his gameplan only to find out after the fact that he set...well...something else.
it was a semi-real plan but not what i'd intended - the 4am start time got me - i think i'm finally getting a bit of a handle on the offense, i'm a newb what can I say

They can take a big swing and change outside running midseason on a game day breaking things but can't change this rookie playing journeyman BS

jebs was ranked 15th or 18th and we ended up with the same team so be thankful you even got to the top 10 before having to play them.

#3 Syndicate Bayou Bengals vs #7 I've Never Had Sex
Syndicate seems to have hit their stride as they are riding a 7 game winning streak and continue to rise to the top of the ladder. They sport a strong running game and a suffocating defense that has not allowed more than 7 points during their winning streak. They will get to face the Virgins, who are fresh off of taking down the #1 team in rookie. The Virgins are a streaky team, they won 9 in a row, then lost 2 in a row, then followed that up by beating 2 top teams in a row. It's hard to figure these guys out, but you can never take them lightly, because they have proven that they can beat anyone. This is a really tough one to call, but I am going to pick Syndicate in a close one. Syndicate Bayou Bengals win 17-14

This will be a tough game. I scrimmage alot of the tops teams in Rookie, so I am familiar with their game play.

Gonna use rushing exclusively against Men Who Herd Cats. There will be at least 5 QBRS plays called.

You know you're tugging on your little corndog right now. Quit yanking it, fix the ELO rankings and ladder matches.

#5 C O N V I C T E D vs #9 New Jersey Surge
Convicted took a tough loss to Run GLB in their last ladder game after the wrong playbook was used, but they took that out on their league opponent by throttling them 45-0. Convicted brings in an offense that favors the run, but unlike most running teams at this level they have also shown the ability to pass the ball effectively. I still think the strength of the team lies in their defense which has more shutouts than it has games with points allowed. The New Jersey Surge got blown out in their last ladder game, but won their league game to stay in the top 10. They have a quality team, but they will need a lot to go right in this game to pick up the win. I can see the morale death spiral taking this from a normal win to a blowout. Convicted wins 34-7
I like this prediction but I think it'll be a closer game than that. War Convicted! and keep the reviews coming.
