What's his balance? Just for reference material. I'm going to go with Your balance is too much for any future PBs I might want to build because he'll fumble 6 times in 5 games.

In other words, we'll start using your Balance number as the absolute ceiling we should hold our powerbacks to.

Honestly I can't think of any other reason he'd be fumbling too much. Maybe a combination of high balance and low speed so that even when he shakes off a clinger another one is right there to hang onto him immediately afterwards

Might want to think about mr reliable. Plus defenders are out there with maxed power tackling and 2-3 starred monster hit.

Only in the sense that getting the cap up on balance is an opportunity cost for other skill caps when you are deciding on your starting attributes and traits.

I use Mr. Reliable and tons of balance on all of my backs. You can see a back start to slow down while carrying a defender. As soon as Mr. Reliable fires, you see the speed resume and the defender gets shaken off. Gold level Mr. Reliable gives +20 Carrying Grip, a 75% or higher minimum grip roll, and a balance loss while being tackled reduction of 40%.

You want to take your four carrying skills (not return awareness) as high as possible. Next you want balance as high as possible. Then you want balanced quickness, conditioning, footwork, heart, sprinting, toughness, and intimidation. Then you are going to want some diving.

Power Thru and Mr. Reliable... probably silver PT, silver MR, then gold them both... it isn't that hard a position to build.

I mean carrying grip is a good thing. I can definitely show yu the difference between nothing in it and 40 or so. But you really have to dig down a lot deeper to why some fumbles occur. It isn't just shit I have all this carrying grip I shouldn't ever fumble.

Guys get rattled
Defenders have ff ability themselves.
Are you running in between the tackles or outside?
What kind of toughness do you have?
Your balance seems rather low to me fwiw for a pure power guy. Maybe he's getting knocked the f out by big hits.
Running style of course.
Sa's need to help as well.

don't forget energy AT THE MOMENT OF IMPACT as well. People can flaunt 50 conditioning or w/e all they want, but that's not high. Energy drains quickly.

Especially when you are carrying the ball. I wish I had taken stamina higher on my KR WR. He taps out on energy before even reaching the first level of blockers. Oh well, at least he goes fetal almost instantly and doesn't risk fumbles

on the carrying grip front, I have two RBs with carrying grip being vastly different but overall relatively similar builds. The one with 80 carrying grip has 1 fumble all season. The one who doesn't has 8 (still pretty good for how many carries I have).

1 fumble in 270 carries actually begs the question if fumbles need a BOOST

Yeah, a powerback running between the tackles isn't going to have nearly as low energy at the three yard gain point as a powerback trying to run outside. I notice my HB fumbles a lot more when running to the outside and I think that low conditioning could be the culprit.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis went 589 carries without a fumble to start his NFL career.

I know reality vs GLB2 is usually pretty lulz, but 1 in 270 isn't really unreasonable.

Tammany Hall, Hub City HB - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/25563

30 toughness, 40 balance, 45 carrying grip, 45 power running, 60 elusive running. He's averaging a fumble every hundred carries or so since he joined Hub City a season and a half ago. I rush inside and outside both. Silver Mr. Reliable fires constantly, and I'm a firm believer it plays a big part in keeping my fumble numbers down.
