Uh...800+ yard games are rare in the NFL. The NFL record for most yards in a game is 554, and only 15 QB's in the entire history of the NFL have passed for more than 500 yards.

For Lost Lounge at seasoned, 500+ is our QB's norm, and we're getting better. I suspect Air Raid is even more skewed to wild air games.

Except the number of times O-line get reverse pancaked has gone up significantly as well, so this theory is wrong

Can we get any insight from a mod on whether they're considering any more changes to this mid-season nerf? Would like to know before I make any decisions involving flex.

"Conversely, those run teams that are technique based seemed to have much less difficulty in their run games post-nerf"

My blockers are much heavier on the technique side - still see a dramatic difference except when playing much weaker competition...so no difference between tech / power in my mind.

To add, no QB in the NFL seems to have passed for over 554 yards.

Cleveland Brown on Air Raid passed for 668 yards alone today. Poor guy only tied the top single game TD record at 7. Randall Cobb had 324 yards receiving for Atlantic City. Only gets him third for all time.

You nerds who keep talking about real life passing numbers aren't taking into account the number of plays ran.

Furthermore your "realism" argument only further cements an all running team to complete lol's. So that probably isn't the direction you are looking for.

No MOD will participate in these threads. They're scared of the peasants and their pitchforks.

BHall -- this game isn't realistic AT ALL. That's our point. People were complaining about rushing not seeming realistic. But no one gives a sh*t when it comes to passing. It was all self-serving whining.

disagree completely.

Does this analysis "prove" anything? no.

Could it indicate that the changes were quite dramatic? Absolutely.

Is it true that sometimes on an 80 yd TD run a guy might get pancaked 2-3 times? Of course it is...but in my case I'm looking at something like 68 fewer pancakes a game...that isn't accounted for by 2-3 80 YD touchdowns...or even 6 or 8 in a game.

Clearly we don't know the code. This thread is simply an attempt to get Corndog to take a look at it -- in light of the code -- and perhaps a major pancake nerf was not intended...but was simply a unforeseen consequence of the 4 or 5 other changes that were all made at the same time.

Your points are all over the place. I can't keep track of what you are ever arguing. Being an all run team doesn't make sense realistically and it doesn't make sense logically. If a guy can't pass you have to completely overpower the defense. Especially if you are as cheesy as most of the teams in from rookie to seasoned. Conversely if your an all pass team you still have to pick your battles on every play.

And your point on NFL numbers lines up when you add in the amount of plays ran in GLB.

PS: I will wait for an explanation about why Cleveland Brown's arm not falling off is superior to Quincy Carter running for an 80 yard TD at any time.

That makes entirely no sense.
