Forgot these last week. But they are back and the league looks a little different then it did just two weeks ago.
1) Creek Valley Beast
Just a little reminder these guys have only lost one game this season and it was by a point in week 1. What has hurt Creek Valley the most as far as being recognized is that one loss and the fact that they blow out almost everyone they play. Blowouts aren't interesting to talk about so they aren't getting any attention. The Beasts have to play Baltimore and North Korea in there next two games but if they can win those two then Creek Valley is without a doubt the best team in the league.
2) Baltimore Bulldogs
When the playoffs come around the Bulldogs will not make it to the championship unless they can shutout the opposition in 4 quarters. Witch is possible because it seems the other two decent teams in this league need a $100 GPS just to find the end zone.
3) North Korea Slim Kims
No comment.
4) Las Vegas Freebirds
The Freebirds have to start praying that the phrase defense wins championships is true. There defense has been and will remain the best in the league for quite some time but the offense is a different story. They can't seem to get a single point right now and they just cut their star QB Ryan Leaf for being inactive.
That is the equivalent of not being able to find a babysitter so you higher a dingo. The only thing worse would be signing Tarvaris Jackson, the QB who consistently does an awful job at playing QB yet plenty of NFL teams still want to sign him. But enough bad jokes about the Freebirds offense. This is the best team to make a run in the playoffs because of an outstanding defense. As long as these guys can muster up a field goal I have a difficult time picking them to lose against anybody.
5) Huntsman Spiders
I think you know something is wrong with the Iron league when two weeks after 4 teams being 7-1 and no one else above .500, the Huntsman Spiders have a chance to make the playoffs. Two games back in the wildcard race and the Division race against two teams who can't score and they have 5 games left. They probably won't make the playoffs but I can't rule them out just yet.
6) Puerto Rico Pink Panthes
They will not be making the playoffs. Its all about finishing at .500 for them.
7) Miami Sharks
Not as bad as the record shows. They should be praying that they get out of the Alpha division next season.
8) Orlando Matadors
9) Ravenswood Red Devils
10) Maine Wasps
Maine could easily have 3 wins right now. 2 of lose three would have been against top 4 teams.
11) Alexandria Kings
12) Detroit Kings
Definitely not the Kings of the Iron League.
My prediction for Bulldogs v Creek Valley: Bulldogs 14 - Creek Valley 48. I also predict when that prediction is completely wrong Dinooo will be sure to point out how wrong I was
