Global nerf is just going to hurt the balanced teams more than anything. If I am passing for 30%, what is everyone else passing for?

You're never supposed to nerf one aspect of the game because it makes the opposite side relatively overpowered, and it hurts 66% of the community.

Corn destroying run blocking has really hurt that 66%, and now if you aren't passing you will lose.

Weird, the all rushing team I have a player on has literally won every single game since the change.

Rushing teams now use QB Rollout Strong even more as while it is not as successful as before, with the right build it will have a big gain 2 to 3 times in a game, usually for a TD. However a passing team (and maybe even a hybrid) has very little success running the ball now and so they have to go almost 100% pass.

So if the objective was to nerf QB Rollout Strong, I don't think this change has had that effect. If anything, it has made QB Rollout Strong the only running play that works.

****Note**** This is based on rookie games.

Yorick's QB had 212 yards rushing today. Mission accomplished.

1) the change wasn't intended to kill qb rushing completely.

2) the team you played today is 3-8.

Look at how our RBs did, bhall, against the same team.

SHUSH!

I was tryin' to keepit a sekrit that I'd figured out all the stuff Corndog changed, and hence, how to get at least that much working again.

As soon as he un-nerfs run blocking power and returns defenses' skills to normal levels, I'll happily go back to our real offense.

It'll still be trickier on some of the outside HB pitch plays because the LB's will be getting outside instead of caught up, but at least it'll be closer to what we were able to do before.

p.s. And if he also changes the LB's and DE's to make their first steps to the outside on Contain-type plays, that'd be great. Because we're now wanting outside defenders to put the new cover sheets on their TPS reports. We should send Corndog more copies of that memo.

So you're arguing that I should nerf QB rushing a bit more?

Not sure where you're going with this.

Also, I find it borderline hilarious that you've convinced yourself that defense just gets a boost to all of their skills.

What I am saying, Sir Dog, is that your nerf (a) didn't fix the thing it was intended to and (b) hurt other forms of rushing that are not as ludicrous.

Please do something to make CBs more effective. Since the off-season change that has them back-pedalling, they now get burned because they're watching the QB and not their man. The mechanics of the pass are a total fucking zoo.

Some examples?

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/61953/289168
Watch CB1 Xury Island frame by frame, at 37 clicks, the WR has made a cut and is running into the deep left corner of the EZ. At 54 clicks (!) almost 20 clicks later, Xury is still watching the QB and hasn't turned around. This is a player with 79 Coverage tech (the ability to 'keep up with a receiver when he makes cuts and changes in direction')! At 51 clicks, the ball has left the QBs hand and the player with 88 Man Awareness (The ability to react to incoming passes), still hasn't worked out that this is a pass play until he finally turns at 54 clicks to find he is covering no one. Just how good to you have to be?

Catch In Stride and OaI fire after the play has hit the ground. WTF is that about? Further evidence (to my mind) that what we see is not what is going on at a code level, at all, and the gamefilm is misleading rather than helpful.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64261/821988
Why does OaI fire here (CBs 2&4)

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64261/822030
Why do the MLB and the SS run East (as we look at it) after the QB has released the ball and not NE, where the ball is going?

ROLB Freezes

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/981810
Cover 1 RILB Lurk (3-4) Vs TE Drive (SBB)
CB2 is nowhere near the play
Watch CB1 - dancing. Not covering.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/981916
Watch CB1. QB releases ball@ 49.5 CB turns at 55.5 - too late, the WR is gone

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/981926
Watch CB 4 (in the middle) @56 the ball has gone past him! and he is still watching the QB! while the HB is piling downfield

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/981997
Watch CB3. @30 WR3 runs his quick hook - CB3 Looks infield. @36.5 His man is 5 yds away. CB3 is still looking infield. (QB still has the ball). ball gone @43, now he turns to find he is covering no one.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/982294
CB3 misses his man at the cut while watching the QB but FS is there with his arm up to cover @59.5 with the ball apparently dropping between him and WR3. It's WR3 who makes the tackle despite the FS being right there.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/982550
This may not have been so bad if CB1 didn't stand watching the QB while WR1 opens an unrecoverable gap.
It's the same on the other flank, CB2 is watching while WR2 legs it, not as severe, but still...

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/982557
Why? Note dominance in energy and morale and note OaI firing on the ground.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/64994/982570
Only fortunate that HB drops the ball as MLB is in his own world running away from the play

This is just a small collection of the nonsense that is pass defense that I've been posting in forums in recent days.
