I really would run a zone D

I suspect we would too, lol.

In fact, part of what makes this matchup fun is that Air Raid scored the most points in Oberon while being #3 at limiting opponents scoring. Lost Lounge, on the other hand, gave up the fewest points while scoring the third most.

And Glasgow was the team that was sandwiched in the middle, being #2 in points scored and #2 in points allowed.

Honestly, a Cleveland vs Yukiko matchup ought to warrant another "How cool is Oberon League" thread in GLB2 Main.

I mean, we're talking about the 2 top QBs for the last two seasons in this tier finally being paired up in a league, and the first game is for all the marbles.

And they also did the bad Air Raid impression that I suspect hurt them in our game.

On the other hand, maybe it wasn't a bad impression, just prophetic, and I'll be able to hold Air Raid to 176 yards passing on 40 attempts and only 13 points as well even though I was running a defense aimed at stopping an expected 60/30/10 mix of inside/outside/pass.

You're really upset about losing that game, aren't you? Would it make you feel better if we got Sar's mom all liquored up and sent her to your place wearing nothing but red stiletto heels?

I'll be honest I'm not happy about losing you're right. Am I throwing chairs and punching holes in walls, no I am not. But as much as you think your wonderful defense won the game for you it didn't do as well as you think IT did, more like our lack of being able to as you put it pull off an Air Raid style performance with our passing because yes we are not built to pass heavy, and the borked coverage in the game, plus 2 inactive CB's which makes it hard to compete against a good pass game... I still think we did alright all things considered as much as you like to talk all high and mighty that game did pivot on a few plays late that changed the outcome.

You still have a game to win, probably better to go prepare for that.

I'm always right.

Because the walls are padded and the chairs bolted to the floor at your institution?

Which gets us to my earlier point of just how bad of an idea it is to try and be sneaky in the playoffs. I'm glad you agreed with me. It shows you can learn important things like Xavori is always right.

If coverage is borked, why would it matter if the CB's were active or inactive?

When trying to construct arguments, it's a good idea to double check yourself to avoid these little faux paus.

Actually, I thought it was a really good game, and was more than a wee bit worried through the first bit.

I'd say the play that changed the outcome occured with 3:45 left in the second quarter:

We were prolly on the edge of sliding into the morale death spiral and finally getting on the board saved us.

Right bro I'll let you get back to it, not going to get into this forum war. It was a Good Game let's leave it at that.
