I'm not sure about individual players but the Thunder's team ratio is 795 cakes/151rcakes or 5.3 cake/rcake ratio. A far cry from QCB'S 7.3 but probably the best in sophmore.

I rarely use a FB. Factor in number of plays?

Most of my FB's cakes are from ST. I think I only use one play in my entire offense with a FB.

The vast majority happen on STs. Sometimes 3-4 pancakes on a single punt or Kick Return. Often times, will pancake one guy, go pancake another, then turn around and repancake the first guy again when he gets up.

Oh, and on the "holding in backs to block vs blitz" part of the discussion, results from today's Falkirk vs Air Raid ladder game.

Falkirk only used Zero Edge Blitz for 6 rusher scenarios. They called the play 28 times when Cleveland was throwing. Cleveland held in the HB to block (his only option in our tactics) 13 times, or 46% of the time. It was noticeably less common in the third quarter. Had that quarter been as common as the 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarters, he might have had as many as 60% held in blocker calls. Possibly a morale/energy issue draining his blitz recognition skills at some point during that quarter.

I'll leave it to maGz to decide if he'd be willing to share how much pocket awareness he has, but I will say it's possibly higher than any other QB in GLB2, even seasoned QBs.

That "1" must have caught him looking the other way.

I'm grateful for this thread because without it I might not have checked to see how often my O Line is getting rev caked....and YIKES - they are getting rev caked a lot (I rarely notice it in the replays though....guess I'm watching the ball too much)

They're rookies. What do you expect?

My best chef has 114 pancakes, but 33 revcakes.

That's not a great ratio, but getting revcaked at worst leads to 3-4 yards loss, while those pancakes lead to 5-10+ yard gains. And hey, this time next season he'll have enough balance that I expect he'll be able to reduce those revcakes quite a bit.
