Here is one for you....Can Helmand find a little defense and get shored up before next season? Maybe spring an upset? OK I will wake up now...

by the numbers.
Helmand is 4-5
offense
2 of 12 in total offense
2 of 12 in passing yards
8 of 12 in rushing yards
7 of 12 in scoring
defense
5 of 12 in total defense
8 of 12 in pass defense
4 of 12 in rush defense
6 of 12 in points allowed
the numbers suggest your defense is holding its own and the issue is your offensive scoring.
looking a little deeper, you have tossed 4 interceptions and lost 14 fumbles...defense isnt Helmands problem, its your offense. you have to wonder how many of those turnovers have lead to points against your team, your points allowed ranking might be a tad lower if your turnovers where cut in half.
comparison
Detroit is 7-2
offense
6 in total offense
4 in passing
9 in rushing
4 in point scored
defense
6 in total defense
7 in pass defense
6 in rush defense
2 in points allowed
turnovers 2 ints and 6 fumbles lost.
pretty close in rankings, big difference in turnovers..big difference in record. so i say the question about Helmand is, can they cure there turnover problems.

Mod has turnover issues too if I am not mistaken. Biggest thing for MoD is we score a bunch.

UPDATE
1. tampa will not, tampa is now sitting at 3 loses on the season, but detroit is now at 2 loses on the season, and if they go through to win it all without losing another game then they would beat Alpines win record by 1 while tieing them for loses on a season.
2. Detroit has taken the division, even if they lose there next two games, they cannot be caught due to tiebreakers.
3. with 2 games to go, Pops is sitting at 3652 yards, averaging over 300 yards a game..i think it is safe to say he will break 4000. Giovanni is leading the percentage point battle, but its very close with just .4% the difference between 3rd place penguin and carmona. ryper is currently sitting (funny right?) with 70 sacks on the season..that one will be close.
4. the basement award goes to Rhode Island, but they did manage to pull out 2 victories so far, if i remember correctly, sacramento only had around 2 victories last season and they have turned things around quite nicely..maybe we will see the same for ri next season.
5. kibbie has fallen off hard after being so close, but a new challanger has risen up. taylor swift is just 10 yards behind juice so that is one battle that is to close to call.

oh and helmand still has turnover issues, but in there game against deeproute they only lost 1 of 3 fumbles and won the game..the four turnovers against mod cost them that game.

Nice being on the other side of the Turnover margin for once...

Helmand, T Swift, aside from potentially winning the running title has 0, I repeat 0 fumbles this season and does not have a team next season. Without those fumbles you're a playoff calibre team... Just saying
