Since you're clearly struggling with pass protection, I thought I'd quote some good advice for you:

If you want to immunize yourself to the rookie blitz meta, you need a QB with 50 pass awareness, "never scramble" turned on, an O-line with 50 pass block awareness and 40 footwork. You also need WRs with 25+ sprinting, quickness, and route tech, and decent playcalling so that receivers are able to get to hot zones reasonably quickly. 50 pocket awareness can help buy your QB a few extra ticks by having them ideally position themselves in the pocket, and it might help them throw passes earlier to avoid the sack, even when the receiver isn't in ideal position. Your QB also needs some heart to absorb a few sacks before the morale spiral crashes your stats. A high contract is mandatory. I'd tack on at least heart to 25 too, so you've got 50 effective heart. Energy loss is also a big deal as it will sap your skills. If you can't get to 40+ conditioning at some point for your QB, you need to be running a 2 QB system the first season. This is determined by whether you've got a superstar or not probably.
Rookie QBs starting with pass accuracy and pass technique are sackbait in rookie. Tech is important for killing drops, but not until you can actually get off passes reliably. Your O-line doesn't need hardly any pass block tech or power until sophomore. The unblocked LB will be what sacks your QB. That guy you delayed by 3 ticks that then broke the pass block? He's irrelevant. He's been delayed 3 ticks and is now a non factor in the pass rush. It changes in sophomore when 2 star spin cycle DEs and DTs become more of a factor. You'll want some actual tech/power then.
Follow this advice, you'll handle the blitz meta much, much better.
