I'd say the market of fans of college football is pretty robust and providing an alternate league structure , while also ensuring there are another set of leagues for those who prefer to the current system would seem to carry a great deal of merit.
None of those numbers suggest people prefer the college structure though.

I didnt say they did I said they had a robust fan base and brought them up as a counter point to someone saying that college football was stupid. There clearly are a large number of people who enjoy college football...why not a structure that augments the current GLB2 league structure, again not a replacement for an addition to.

Same player development , same game structure (14 league games + 16 ladder games) same playbook, same sim - Just a different "add-on" league structure.
Other alternative is to have an average of two farm teams per veteran team (when that time comes) constantly shuffling around dropping to rookie and rebuilding. Nothing per say wrong with that but why not build an add-on thats an improvement to that and supports the building of rivalries. GLB1 had different types of league structures the were popular (rookie ball etc..) I think this one would be quite popular for some current players and those who want to build their way up from rookie to vet would still have that option with the same league consistency this first crew is getting.

But with new league structures they stretch the current league thin with players and teams. Just like in glb1

Please no. College football is stupid. A bunch of great players in college come up to the NFL and get DESTROYED, the latest being Tavon Austin. I have no interest in college bowls and their stupid system that doesn't even award the best team because they dont even have a proper playoffs. I think the NFL might just have the right idea.
There have always been divisions in the NFL, and playoffs, and I think there always will be. Its the best way.

lol, uhh no. This too much dumb college football esque stuff gets implemented, people will quit the stupid game. I came back to GLB2 because I like this version from GLB1. GLB1 had too much college football nonsense with high scoring garbage games like 107-14. Now its tough, close, games, just like the NFL as it should be. You start making it more like college football, and people WILL quit the game again. Most people like it as is I believe and arent complaining on here about college football.
I don't mind if its some minor ladder thing, or if the people that want it, opt-in, but dont change the whole game or force it on people who don't want it. As far as I know it is a professional football simulation, not college. I have no interest in a college football simulation. None. Thats what GLB1 was and it made me quit the game. See what happens if dumb changes like that are made again.
Its a dumb idea and not everyone wants it. It will make the game worse, and less-NFL like, and less interesting to me and others. Who will then QUIT the game AGAIN. So, not really a great idea in my opinion.

I don't think you read the part I bolded, again in parallel with not a substitution for
Team owners could still create rookie teams and work them all the way to vet status, in fact I think having this off to the side would create an even better experience for them. Your league would be less likely contain ladder teams for existing owners in veteran status who want to stay there at the top of the ladder.
As for sucking out players right now we have 15 sophomore leagues; with 156 teams in this system and 11 players per class thats the equivalent of 2 leagues per class year fewer on the old scale, certainly more than enough players for current leagues.

With 156 temas pulling 11 players per tier its the equivalent of a little more than 2 leagues per tier, the player base can handle that. Add in that GLB clearly does not want to keep selling teams at tiers other than freshmen and you have a bunch of players currently scrambling to get on teams as owners go inactive, drop down , or fail to renew. This leads to having to issue teams at tiers above freshman.

College football is better than NFL IMHO. Geaux Tigers!
That being said, I love the NFL too.
