Very true...Once we hit playoff time most rushing plays no longer work since builds have matured. That's why teams that have to rely too heavily on the run never do very well in the playoffs

To a large part, I agree with this. Some teams are very successful in the regular season as a primary rushing team, and just turn it on. Gerr becomes a better passing team in the postseason.

Correct. counters & screens seem to rule early, so not much down field passing is needed. But as builds progress, those become less effective and you need more of a balanced attack if not a pass heavy attack later in the season.
