I wouldn't be surprised if the league MVP is weighted just like the HoF is weighted - stats are relative to the rating of the team you are playing. So getting stats against weaker teams isn't as impressive as getting stats against the stronger teams.

But his team should be playing the tougher schedule since his team has a higher global rank and tier.

MVP is only league...nothing to do with ladder rank

My DE on Dookie Island, Aston Krantz, is second behind Vinnie Grimes, who has 7.5 more sacks, while Aston Krantz has more tackles for a loss, more tackles overall, one more FF and a few more hurries. So in his case at least sacks are weighted more heavily than those other stats.

Best team in the league. Best defensive player on that team. Best total defensive stats of any player in that league.

How is that not the MVP?

Adrian Peterson 2012.
Best team in the League? Nah

You're overthinking MVP formula lol, if you get it you get it, if you don't you don't. It's another lolGLB ranking system, just like HOF.

I'm not actually Vincent's agent. But he's on my D, and I'll always go to the mat for my guys.

That's cute. Still doesn't change anything...

If you want an all out stat competition look to the HOF, MVP has a formula that doesn't always give the biggest producer the #1. It gives it to the most impactful

It's not about "tougher schedule" it's about weighting the stats in the individual games per opponent strength

Player A and B have 10 sacks. They play teams X, Y, Z.

Team X: ranked 30th, A got 4 sacks, B got 1
Team Y: ranked 50th, A got 4 sacks, B got 3
Team Z: ranked 100th, A got 2 sacks, B got 6

Same schedule, same stats...but A's stats are "worth more" because he got more of them against the harder competition.

Note: I have no idea how the stats break down in your specific case. Just suggesting that could be a factor. We don't actually know how the MVP race works, and they probably aren't going to tell us.

Any other teams swept their league's MVP voting yet?

Air Raid's got #1 O, D, and ST MVP in Ceres league. We've also got 3 other guys in the O top 10, and 4 other guys in the D top 10.

It took some heavy DAG/ZEB abuse to get our ROLB to #1 the last 3 weeks, but we took him from 9th in the voting to 1st in 3 weeks of sack/fumble lolz.

Only 1-1-2 for the Band in Venus. If we'd had a dedicated kick returner, probably could have gotten it. Instead, a DT who forced some fumbles got 2 for us.

Erkner swept Cougar and more impressive, Andes totally swept Mercury

EDIT: only done by DaG? Not impressed then

Legacy got #2/#3 in OMVP, #2 in DMVP, and #1 in STMVP in Tiger. Too bad we missed the playoffs...

Queen City snatched a good chunk in Gorilla. No sweep though.

OMVP: #1 and #2
DMVP: #1 and #2
ST: #2
