Talk to me when 1. Your players have better stats than mine.

What's this mean?

Now you want stats?

KR YDS TD AVG PR YDS TD AVG
Devin Hester 74 2218 1 29.9 100 1076 0 10.7
Miller Austin 72 2183 1 30.3 95 1102 2 11.6

TARG REC REC% DROP YDS TDS
WR Larry Fitzgerald 114 73 64 11 844 3
WR Keenan Allen 146 89 60 10 1102 6
WR Julian Edelman 124 80 64 10 820 5

WR Drewski Pearson 289 180 62 31 2312 17
WR Preston Pearson 234 143 61 22 1654 13
WR Michael Irvine 185 113 61 15 1209 6

Yeah 64 is way better than 62. I'm willing to bet everyone here would rather have my WR's production than to have 64%.

You didn't prove anything, my offense is run first, if we produce on the run game, we won't even throw a pass...

Of course you will have more yards.... That's why I went with WR catch %... Because that puts our WRs on a level playing field...

Not sure if you are an idiot, or you are playing dumb so your players don't look mediocre compared to mine.

But anyway, yeah, he catches 64% of balls thrown at him, that's elite at Soph level.

First you said your WR was Elite!

I show you the stats. Then you backpedal and say we are run first.

Don't look mediocre compared to yours? WTF are you talking about? They look better because they have better stats. If your WR's are so Elite why would you not pass dumbass?

Because our run game is better, we have 2 of the best pHBs in the league.

Completion % and # of drops are pretty much the only meaningful part of WR stats, yards and everything else doesn't mean much.

Jampy is saying they run first, and the RECEPTION % is elite. He's not saying his receiver is some monster, stat producing, big play receiver. He's saying catching 65% of your targets is pretty fucking good.

Just because you have good receivers doesn't mean you're going to pass all the time, especially if you have a solid run game and wish to use that.

I know he said they run first. In his world, 333 runs from his HB's is more than 370 passes attempted by the QB. It's almost 50/50 since his QB does run some. But, since when is that a run first team?

Just because you have good receiver's doesn't mean your going to pass all the time? You don't want to win? At the very least you become a pass first team.

I'm starting to think the owner of his team is his multi. Why in the world would someone say "Hey Jampy, I'll make an entire team for you and you tell me everything to do." Makes sense. 2 free players?

We found him in PLFT in glb1 and we have been chillin since.

He gives me players and I give him championships.

that's not really the best way to look at catch rate. reception rate, maybe, but his catch rate would be the rate at which he makes receptions on catchable targets. if he has 89 receptions and 18 drops, we'll assume he's had 107 catchable passes thrown his way in league/ladder play. that puts him at a 83% catch rate.

I tried to think that way, and just couldn't reward players for dropped passes. Catch rate is catch rate. Why it wasn't caught is irrelevant IMO. In fact, drops should be penalized, not rewarded.

it still penalizes for drops. what it doesn't do is penalize for poor throws on the qb's part. ideally, you'd go through all the pbp data and see exactly how many were overthrows and how many were due to defense that perhaps if the wr had more hands or cit it would've been catchable, but the idea is that a drop is only counted as a drop when it's explicitly the wr's fault for not making the catch. the pd's, poor throws, and incompletions attributed to "nearby defense" are assumed to be plays out of the wr's control, at least according to what the sim spits out.

I'd say "nearby defense" is in the WR's control. Those are catchable passes that the WR wasn't able to overcome the defenders via CiT.

I would put the "deflections" on the QB. It seems like they happen prior to the receiver becoming involved now.
