To clarify my question, is run block awareness part of finding the lead block? I am aware lead blocking awareness is it's own attribute, but I did not know if that was 100% of it, or having good run block awareness also helped.

I would assume they both work together much like the Run Block and Lead Awareness SA's in GLB1. Would make sense that lead blocking in space is a harder check to make and thus Lead Block Awareness on top of the run block awareness check would stack to make passing that check easier. I certainly could be way off on that assumption but the only one who has a definitive answer on that is Bort I would guess. Maybe Corndog but I am not sure he has the inner workings of the attributes themselves at hand.

Either way if you are lead blocking, Lead Block Awareness is going to have a solid impact. Probably safe to say you won't be able to get away with no Lead Block Awareness in that situation. And Run Block Awareness is always going to be useful.

Foo I think you can see the build, I think you are on my friends list, i built up Lead block ad block consistency first, than run block awareness, run block power, run block tech, he's the only FB on the team with 3 HB's that are doing very well.

I was pretty much maxing out my lead blocking on my FB, thinking run blocking awareness was more for a lineman. I have just started to invest in run block awareness and was not seeing much of a difference.

I'm guessing that because the FB is called to lead block on most plays, lead block awareness is most important to have. However:

1) awareness skills are cheap, so not much lost in investing in both;
2) I use my FB on STs blocking, and I don't think that would activate lead blocking, unless there is some on the BW; and
3) on running plays where the FB is not the lead blocker or where the lead blocking portion of the play is over, I'm guessing that run blocking awareness is used to pick up the lanes from that point on.
