Good idea.

Another good idea.

As for the OP...

Balance makes sense. Footwork maybe makes sense. Its all conjecture at this point, though.

I dont know season 1 of GLB was a long time ago but I remember this specific question being asked (and due to the nature of dot animations we had no idea what jumping was for at the time) and Bort making a coy response about people ignoring jumping and being shocked they couldn't "get over" fallen dots.

Maybe my memory sucks because this was a million years ago but now we have balance so who knows

IIRC jumnping affects your dives for yards so so maybe balance does make sense (even though it makes no sense at all)

You need more verticle so you can hop over the defenders laying on the ground

Going around a player requires a change of direction, so quickness, footwork and balance could all play a part in that as could carry awareness maybe?

Vertical seems plausible, if he's thinking about going over the guy instead of around.

ok this makes balance sound a litle more plausible.

This is what I think, I think it might be all carry awareness... but my KR/PR has 50+ in both return and carry awr so if that's not enough to get around a fallen defender what is?

After seeing some other bugs in the bug forum, I'm beginning to wonder if there is just some code issues with fallen players.

I won't be surprised.... Everyone acts weird around defenders on the ground... from Kr/PR to CBs tackling their man who just dove.

Even when returners has the chance to choose a wide open lane they run right into the pile. guess they are anal about following their blockers. they run up to the pile. stop and think about it for a while and then run straight into a tackle. on occassion they will do something less idiotic though.
