Huh, I saw that post but I read it as poking gentle fun at the "game is dead!!!" crowd by explaining in the most basic terms the difference between being alive and being dead. Not an admission of defeat.

He posted the quote "Generally speaking, the way of the warrior is resolute acceptance of death" in a discussion about GLB's demise.

When I think of a samurai I don't usually picture someone just sitting around, waiting to die. If you're implying that there's any connection between acknowledging the reality of death (and that things end) and not fighting as hard to stay alive... I humbly disagree.

Man, wish I could make a parody thread. Such potential for Crying Game reference.

so Euchrid and Corndog, since you are here.

Are you guys done doing any thing at all for GLB1. There are a couple of good suggestions going right now in the suggestion threads that if you sift through some of the trolling, you could help out the users that are left here and make it enjoyable for us until the end.

I'm fading away. To set an open coarse for the fun I see. Cause I've got to be free. Free to face the games, that's ahead of me.

We'll play happily forever, so the story goes...but somehow we missed out, on the WL gold,,,,, but we'll try, best that we can.......

TO CARRY ON!

Yes. GLB1 hasn't been abandoned and isn't being ignored to the extent that certain folks would have you believe (because wheeeeeee! drama!). We all appreciate the fact that everyone who's here is here because they like (or, in some cases used to like) the original GLB. If you notice problems on GLB1, as always, let us know and we can address them.

BUT I don't think it's a secret that we're working on new stuff. I'm not in charge of that, but it makes sense to me that implementing GLB1 Suggestions that appeal to some of the people who already play GLB might not be as high a priority as producing something new that appeals to some of the people who already play GLB and people who've never played GLB (and which could lead people here). I mean, that's the vague, dumbed-down version of what I've gathered, but... it doesn't sound totally unreasonable, does it?

So... yes, we are around. Yes, we are doing things. When will more GLB1 Suggestions be implemented? No idea. But that doesn't mean we love you guys any less.

understandable that new things are being worked on, but many of us feel like if the original game was to get a few tweaks, it would bring back some of the people that have been lost and the people who just lost faith in WGG as a whole, and it would encourage people like myself to buy more flex and build more dots. That could and probably would in turn increase the possible user base of whatever the new stuff may be.
Leaving the original userbase with the feeling of "they dont' care about us" is not the way to grow a new game.

I do hope that you guys do try and sift through some of the trolling and see that there are a few suggestions that could improve things for the users of GLB1

A few tweaks isn't gonna bring a ton of people back.
