His morale on the last few game very long kicks was 100, and also on the next kickoff play he ran - if there's a "missed a kick earlier" effect on kicks, it's not reflected in the morale bar, it's just hiding in the player.

Look at this game: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/19873
His morale for FG attempts was 96/100/100/100.

I made a rookie during the offseason before the official season switch, day 50 or whatever. He didnt play any real games or have any xp, just a couple scrimmages. he is the same player I linked in the op, check the game log.

This same brand new player went 9/12 kicking field goals the first two days of this season. Including scrimmages and pickups that was 5 games or so. 5 games as a rookie with no SPs and he went 9/12, again with a handful of those over 40 yards.

He then goes on to miss TWENTY SIX FIELD GOALS IN A ROW as he adds SP! And that's because of the holder?

Success:

K Nickle Pleez attempted a 28 yard field goal, and it was good
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 33 yard field goal, and it was good
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 22 yard field goal, and it was good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 19 yard field goal, and it was good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 24 yard field goal, and it was good!

Flukes:

K Nickle Pleez attempted a 41 yard field goal, and it was good! - Fluke
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 44 yard field goal, and it was good! - Fluke
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 41 yard field goal, and it was good! - Fluke

Bad Luck?:

K Nickle Pleez attempted a 27 yard field goal, but it was no good! - Bad Luck?
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 29 yard field goal, but it was no good! - Bad Luck?

Why from that far away?:

K Nickle Pleez attempted a 40 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 48 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 38 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 45 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 48 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 44 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 44 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 45 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 47 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 47 yard field goal, but it was no good!

So, in reviewing some of your games, I find that you are missing because you kick from too far away for your level.

1) Rookie kickers are inconsistent.
2) Rookie kickers are inaccurate.
3) Rookie kickers don't have a lot of distance.

I ran a field goal range of 25 (safe) to 35 (max) in my rookie season.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/11714

Even then, I still only hit 18/28 from that distance. And I'm using Hometown Hero and High contracts to increase chem and heart.

You might as well be asking us why your QB isn't making 80 yard throws with 18 points in passing power. At least the WRs can come back to the ball... the goal posts don't move.

You don't need to keep telling me that 45+ is not going to have a chance. You can even chalk up the 40 yd ones to a crazy coincidence that he made three before missing all of them.

My kicker did not attempt all 26 field goals from 40+. It looks like you picked out around half of them which sounds about right. That leaves plenty of misses from under 40 with several under 30, and missing every single one (while improving with SPs compared to early season!) is a lot more weird than simply being bad and going 2/9 for a stretch.

To be honest, I sorted your stats by FGs attempted and just picked games starting from the top. After I saw enough of a pattern, I just stopped looking.

Like I said, my kicker, a kicker who had significant advantages over your kicker and who kicked from much shorter distances, still went 18/28, including much later in the season when his accuracy and consistency and power had all been increased.

ok I have seen the problem

check out this miss from 48 today (plenty of power by the way, just wide)

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/16311/648178

nickle runs up like he is going to kick with his right foot, then stops when he gets to the ball and boots it with his left!

lack of footwork?

No, he is taking his steps to the ball and planting his foot down and then kicking.
