AJ is great no matter the system.

Dont get me wrong, aj green is my favorite player right now. And while I'm talking about a more exaggerated difference here, the difference in madden would be something like 88-94 so he would have a high rating one way or the other. If it were up to be hos rating would be like 96 auto since he's a top 3 receiver imo

Bhall, if team overalls aren't pointless than why would play overalls be? There's literally no logical argument as to why not to implement it, just preference.

Either way I'm going to butt out of this topic because it's not what it's about. Feel free to have the last word.

I think a player's performance (stats) and publicity should be the main things in decided who makes it. I think we should have a voting dealio.

Script pulls up x amount of players for each position based on performance.
Each agent who is an owner, staff or has a player in that league must vote for specific number of players (only one voting opportunity)

Performance gets you on the ballot, popularity gets you in the game.

Voting is open between Week __ (12, 14, 16, whatever) and the end of the Semi-Finals?

Problem with voting is that it ends up being a popularity contest and what not. Just do it strictly by statistics. Only fair that way.

All-Star games are popularity contests, though. If they put out a script that put, say, the top 5 or 6 RBs onto a ballot, and you had to pick your favorite 4, sure some guys would be left off. But, that would be a nice mix of stats+popularity, and maybe encourage teams to support their own players.

One downside would be that a team with fewer agents would have fewer votes.

That is a very shocking statement to read. Just appalled any true sports fan thinks popularity should come into a game to decide the best at their position.

Guess you're thinking like the NFL and the Pro Bowl game is for fans and not players, that's backwards. Should the team with the most votes go to the playoffs too instead of the best ones?

Name a professional sport in which the fan vote doesn't influence who goes to the all-star game.

I suggested a vote. -Phaytle- defended the position that people shouldn't vote, and that popularity should not come into play for an all star game. Every major sport in the US has a vote for the all-star game.

I'm not saying votes should be the only thing, but taking the best players at a position (performance) and THEN allowing people to vote which ones they want (popularity) seems fitting to me. That's how it works in the real world, am I wrong?

Pro Bowls, All-Star games, whatever are a mix between a reward for the players, and a show for the fans.

Just ignore him. If you don't agree with him then obviously you're wrong. Obviously
