catch awareness again says his ability to jump or dive at off target balls...which i suppose could help with catching balls of those types...but my guys dont seem to be jumping or diving at the ball much.

My guy with the best hands on the team..40 catching now has the most drops as well..he was designed to be my possession guy.he has like 70 targets in league games with 35 catches and 22 drops or something like that. Very frustrating to have him wide open and drop a ball that looks to be right to him.

Seems like he is used alot. Whats his stamina?

But in general those numbers seem to be the same as mine. I have less chances and lower therefore. But drops are running from 45-22-5 to 55-29-10 etc up to 22 drops.

Low levels, may just drop the ball more.

Eventually I suppose everybody will figure things out, but I actually like not knowing what a good build is. I wouldn't even mind some variability from player to player even with the same stats. Those things happen in real life. Intangibles.

It is 50% of my current catching and 30% of the max (unless SA's give you higher than 100 max to which I am unsure of yet) so ya I would say 30 is low.

fwiw my WR is catching a good chunk of balls thrown his way. But I have much higher levels of relevant catching skills than most of you too it appears.

WOAH! It sounds as if you are confident this is true, which means you know something we don't.

From the tooltip description for heart, it only talks about reducing how quickly the player loses morale from making bad plays or giving up points. If it also raises the lower range on rolls then heart is pretty important, and something that everyone should know and be included on the tooltip.

QB skills make a big difference in catching also. when balls are dropped passes are not always as perfect as they look in the sim. raising qb technique and awareness seems to help just as much as his accuracy. try some pickup games and see how they do with a different qb.

I had technique up some and accuracy high, wasnt till I got the technique high that he started connecting with the ball much. Awareness seems to be helping as well.

Makes sense.

Lower Morale increases bad rolls. Thus Heart reduces the negatives from bad plays causing more bad plays.

Of course. But if a team is built well and usually has higher morale for the entire game then heart has no value. What I was getting from what you said was that heart directly increases the floor for rolls, not that it indirectly decreases the chance for bad rolls by slowing the loss of morale.

Being built well doesn't mean anything to the conversation.

You lose morale from the defense making plays too y'know. It's not just "bad plays" on the offensive side.

Ummm, yes it does. If you is built well and they don't have any bad plays to cause a loss in morale in the first place then Heart's effect of slowing morale loss doesn't mean shit.

Yeah, that should be implied as common knowledge.
