I didn't say anything about GLB2. I've read other people post on GLB1 that they didn't receive alerts when cut/team sold.

Well you're posting on GLB 2 and didn't say anything about GLB

Well - just to post from the other side.

As an owner - I've cut a few people within the last few days. I got my team mid-season though.

I can acknowledge that it is kind of jerky...

First I bought the team - some guys I inherited (they were already on the CPU team)
Then - to fill the roster - I couldn't afford to be particularly choosy about who I took

As time has gone by - and I got a full team - I could finally start to take a closer look at who I had.
- Some guys hadn't / didn't boost
- Some guys never posted in the team forum so I had absolutely no clue if they were even active or not (vs inactive)(so no clue if they even spent their exp points)
- Some guys kept their builds closed and didn't respond to a pm (so no clue if they even spent their exp points)

Beyond that - one HUGE thing in GLB2 over GLB1 - I could go make a player right now - using everything I've learned this season - and he would be better than just about any guy built earlier in the season (since we know a little bit more now than we did 2 weeks ago). That goes for every player out there...

So aside from the chemistry hit - individual dots are pretty much expendable at the moment when they aren't performing great / aren't open / aren't posting in team forum / aren't making their presence known (the last 3 lead to concluding whether they are even spending their exp points or not).

So - I've done it several times in the last few days. Sometimes I sent a PM - sometimes I didn't (if in 2 weeks I have no clue if they've even logged in - I didn't).

I wish I had a bigger roster so I could stash guys so they could still get exp if they wanted to - but I don't have that kind of room.

Am I a jerk? Possibly
Am I doing my best for the guys still on the team to try to field the most competitive team possible and have us in a position to win? Yes - I'm trying my best.
Am I going to end up as a jerk who didn't win a league or division championship? Probably!

I assume this sort of issue won't exist in future seasons. It's kind of crazy that as long as you have flex to burn (I run many of the players on my team - but not the good ones!) you can swap out the roster as regularly as you want (depending on chemistry value).

if one of your friends signs up, and wants to make a player... what else are you gonna do? sign your friend's dot and cut some stranger. 2EZ.

That's what I thought also. A heads up that it was happening would've been nice though.

I've done a lot of shit but I've never cut someone just to sign a friend or anyone else unless they were inactive. Just tell them later in the season we won't be re-signing them.

I won't from now on. I had never ran across him in GLB1. So from the inactivity in the forum, I thought he was a newbie to the game. I wasn't the only one that was wondering about him. There were others that made comments asking about him in the team forum. But what can you do when the owner is invisible?

I accept I probably had a bad build since it is season 1. But I also think that if you are cutting the receiver with the most yards per game on the team to make room for a no stat TE, then you're an idiot.

I do tho
