I think they should. That way if something happens that is out of their control they don't just get screwed. They have the most familiarity and chemistry with the team already and stand the best chance of keeping the wheels from completely coming off.

i disagree. the list exists for a reason and just because an owner is new doesn't mean they will be horrid. we were all new at one time.

basically, if i want to sell my team for cash i just need to make that person a gm for a short time and then turn the team over to them.

good point. I can see both sides but it would definitely suck to be a GM that has a lot of time and energy invested in the team already to have the rug pulled out from under you and sold to a stranger, but then again it was pretty painful waiting to buy my team so I can understand the other side too.
