completely agree. This should be based on merit and not how much a player was boosted, so to say.

yeah but at the same time you cant just go by tackles, because a CB can have 100 tackles but each one could have come from a 10 yard catch. Also what about teams that have such a good D they arent on the field that much. something to think about

Thats why I think each team should nominate aplayer at each position from other teams and then be able to nominate a few from their own team as well

i was thinking along the lines of a team nominates a QB, RB, FB, 2 WR, etc...from other teams and then nominates like the 5 players from their team they think deserves to go...something like that

A player on a winless team that leads the league in a particular category isn't necessarily more worthy than a player who helps his team win consistently.
