Regional identities are dead... it was the only reason to keep the 8 Po leagues intact as is. It is long past due to contract the Nat Pro level to 4 leagues and promote all four teams that make the CCG to WL.

Bort is just being stubborn now as it would be some fuel to the fire of those "game is dying" threads/agents

I think the pro league winners should have an automatic spot and the runners-up should play seeds 11 and 12 of WL with random game match ups (extra 1 game postseason). Winners get to stay if it's the WL team or move up if the Pro team wins .

Would give a final chance the the WL teams that missed and force the runner-up Pro teams to prove they are worthy.

Donīt like the you miss playoffs and get demoted into boring Pro leage like it is right nowVancouver was very close to demotion last season and ended up as Zeta champs. So the difference in WL between winning a trophy and getting demoted to Pro could be on missed FG or a broken tackle at right time.

You are right i have probably been the DC of more teams in the WL than anyone in this game. So that could be a compliment. Too bad i couldn't talk my OC\dot building agents into cheating our way to a ring.

I actually think WL is more fun, bc a log of teams are fighting every week

The problem isn't with World League... as jdb pointed out, one of the things that makes WL so special is that you have to be damn good to stay in. And I say this as the OC for a team who could very well be out after one season.

No, the problem is with the craptacular nature of the Pro leagues. Cut the 8 National Pro leagues down to 4, and shove everyone else down into Regional Pro. If you make the Conference Championship game in National Pro, you punch your ticket for World League. And if you get demoted out of WL, at least you'll have a competitive season waiting for you in National Pro, and making it back into World League will still be a bit of a challenge.

We should get a petition together for this and have every World League team owner and coordinator PM it separately to Catch22, with a copy of it posted on the GLB Main forum. A coordinated effort like that might actually get some attention.

Yeah...nice suggestion Guff...I do like that, but would mean more games so would have to work that into the offseason or something.

I'd easily argue that the basis of most people complaints with this game is the lack of competition at the Pro level...I think people hate doing a worthless season in Pro's more so than they actually hate that they didn't make the WL cut. Finding a way to make the game much more competitive would be nothing but a benefit...there are always those people who want the easy road (just look at the HOF, it's riddled with people who did nothing but look for a way to work their dot into the HOW, not be competitive). Making less Pro leagues and more competitive Regional Pro elite leagues would be a benefit that I think a vast majority would be happy with.

It's just because there are a bunch of shitty teams and agents who want to pretend their team and dots are in Pro like it means something still.

If bort were to do this for s29 then he should make s28 really matter in Pro by claiming that the teams who make the playoffs in s28 Pro leagues will stay in the 4 new Pro leagues while the non-playoff teams all got grouped together in regional pro

Catch is not the problem. EE is correct about Bort being the impediment to either a hemisphere solution or contracted pro leagues. He just doesn't want to do it, even though everyone else sees the need.
