I think dub is right, if people stopped boosting (id still buy ce) I don't think bort would even notice, let alone care.

He just doesn't want people to organize it. It would be up to every person to stop on their own. Which wouldn't ever happen.

There aren't. For maybe the first time I can remember, the majority of the teams in my silver tourney were non-boost, non-custom, whether they were in LE's league or not. Then you have teams like my GTS silver team, which is yes/yes in theory, but not everybody actually boosts. It would be nice to have a league with 32 boosted teams in order to really see who is the best gameplanner and player builder. Also, the other problem is that I feel like boosted teams have a larger advantage than they used to. I remember that in gold's early days it was not uncommon for an early boosted team to lose to a late boosted one. I was on both sides of that scenario a few times. However, when the sim changed to reduce the effectiveness of running, that made it very hard for non-boost teams to manage for some reason.

I dunno.............my team is 55 yes/yes........but yet our 1 loss this season was to an NB/NC team.............and lour big tourney loss was also to an NBNC team

Funny that my playoff schedule will be 3 NB/NC teams if we can get through them all...............defeated 1 last night, but round 2 matchup is against the NB/NC team beat us in the reg season.

My point is, I know I'm not the Vince Lombardi of Pee Wee coaching, but Im not Rich Kotite either
With a great coach and great gameplan, those no boost teams can beat anyone

No offense to you at all but I would be willing to bet you anything that the top 4 teams in each conference in Gold would beat any NB/NC team by 21+ if one of those teams actually game planned.

Well, being able to defeat all but 8 pee wee teams would still be very good for NB/NC

Top 8 Gold teams are supposed to be the best of the best, so they should be able to defeat anyone outside of that "elite 8"

I imagine I lost because I was a bit rusty in pee wee and its definitely been a long while since my Boston Minutemen were in the gold league in seasons 14, 15........lol

You can newer protect against the higher speed of the offensive players on a YES/YES Team. A NB/NC defensive player has a minimum of 6 points less speed than a YES/YES offensive player, Even with enough speed, there will be a vision/agility issues on the defensive players. That meas with a very little effort any Yes/Yes team can exploit that and win the games. And if the offense and defense fails the Yes/Yes team the ST will most certainly take care of the game.

I personally miss the old days when you had to care about every game in the first part of the season to be able to boost late. This season I have only cared about the tournament and tried to do some game planning there. I am once again pondering retirement from Pee Wee.

+1 The speed difference is the most noticeable. :/

Also, simski, you should trying "retiring" like jkid2 did; worked pretty well for him this season.
Seriously though, give LE's NB/NC league at least 1 season before thinking about leaving. Level of competition there is really fantastic, especially with Gerr and Jackson joining this season. Just don't join the NFC North, please.

+ 1.

I am by no means great at this game but I have played some of the top coaches in pee wee and have never lost to a no/no team when I fielded a yes/yes team. simski is right the speed and power difference should overwhelm the no/no team especially once the no/no's start to get tired.

Although I did an awful lot of gameplanning, just to try and prove it could be done ;p

And I did plenty of gameplanning too, and you still gave me a good lesson. Definitely the team I least wanted to face in the playoffs. Most effective D I've played against, and I failed to figure it out both games.

And sure, I'm a Gold novice, but Packerz pushed several established boosted teams close this season, and beat at least a couple of us newer guys.

Used to be a few of them back in the Eatdabeaver days but they all died off pretty quickly
