Everyone is reset as of day 41. Having players on the roster would not help. Even if your theory were accurate, I doubt that this was the motivation anyways, as they would have added the same amount of players to each team. My team only had 8 CPU's added to the roster. If your theory is accurate, I would be at a disadvantage to the teams that had more CPU's added.

Edit to add: Every season I have played, Team Chemistry has been reset to 70 at rollover. This season.... reset to 70 as well.

Edit to clarify: Reset: All players are released from the team on the rollover from day 40 to 41. It would be impossible to add CPU's to your roster prior to that time (unless you did not have a full roster during the season). Therefore, the CPU's would have had to have been added after the rollover, thus rendering your theory incorrect.
