I don't agree with that at all. Tombstone had a few great seasons, but the real best team from that group of agents is Cascade, not Tombstone. Anyway, Tombstone was only good from season 10 to 15 and 10 was not that great. If we are going like that, in terms of best seasons, HHM would definitely be ahead of Tombstone. As for my case for Chicago, I honestly couldn't think of a better choice. Maybe HHM should be in that slot, but I generally went with longevity and ability to do well in more than one sim. HHM basically only played in the rushing era and Tombstone was gone before the catch fake/pump fake era and fell apart after the season 16 changes. All of those top 5 teams had good teams across many different sims. However, I will agree that #5 was the hard spot, there really wasn't a choice that was that close to the other 4.

Still holding a grudge over the denial of that LOLGM spot I see.
Originally posted by jkid2 Do you think you were snubbed? I mean you have only been around since season 14 and have a copper championship and a silver conference championship and that's it. I think every other team up there has some kind of non-copper league championship, so it's hard to consider you guys as good as the teams up there. However, win a gold or tourney title and play for a couple more seasons and you'll probably move into the list.
Ha! No, I don't feel "snubbed". To be honest, you are right. We haven't been around that long. We won our copper league the first year in existence. We lost the Silver League title to a McCollums team (definitely no shame there), and then got bumped to Gold. Since then, we've had 7 consecutive seasons making the playoffs in Gold. We don't dabble in tourneys too often, so nothing really there to make us stand out. I just saw a laundry list of "Honorable Mentions", and thought we belonged. I guess not.
Top 5 or Top 10's will always be subjective. imo, tourneys should not be weighed in as much Gold Championships and Season record. But again this is subjective.
You can drop MMD out of the top 10. We don't deserve to be there anymore in my opinion with so many great teams. We've been out of the spotlight for awhile, and never closed out the must wins. Should we be up there amongst some of the best no/no teams of all time? Absolutely. However in the entire body of work there's teams that have been better, longer... and yes Gerr, your Bears are one of them. You most certainly do deserve that spot. Gamecocks have been the most consistent team over the past 8 seasons hands down. I think when you take tournies into consideration Maine has to be in the top 2 all time along with SBWL. There's so many ways to look at it it's impossible to compare different seasons. I think jkid hit it head on though when he said certain teams dominated certain eras. The HB Slam great D era was definitely dominated by HHM, SBWL, and so forth. Once passing came into play you had an entirely new seat of dominant teams (Goats, Outlaws, Crabs, etc).
