it's silly because in our conference anyone who played swaziland has ridiculously inflated stats. Like Charles in charge who threw 7 TDs and 0 INTs in that game. Or After burner who ran for 233 yards and 3 TDs against them. I honestly think Andrew Fiorentino as well as he leads the league in sacks and hurries while playing 7 respectable teams.
The same could be said for Fiorentino... He has nearly half his sack total(4) against the worst team on their schedule so far. If you look at the two worst teams on their schedule, he has 5 of his 9 sacks and 8 of his 24 hurries against those two teams. You can't look at the schedule and say whay XXX player has done is less than what YYY player has done because XXX had an easier schedule. The player isn't responsible for that schedule, or that the other team was as competitive.
My dad use to teach us that a sack is nothing more than a tackle for a loss with a fancy name. If it doesn't get you off the field, it doesn't have much of an effect.
the worst team on their schedule yes but when there is one team in the league that is heads and shoulders below everyone else, that team strongly skews the numbers. you said 8 of his 24 hurries against 2 of the 7 teams? That's barely statistically significant.
I am saying that you can't include stats from that game against Swaziland because they are absolutely a joke. No other team in the league is anywhere near them. And you absolutely can judge great players, MVP players, on how they play against the best team. Fiorentino had 13 tackles and 4 sacks against San Dimas. He had 8 tackles, 4 for a loss and 12, yes 12, hurries against us. In their 2 losses, the GRI and the Camels found ways to limit his effectiveness, but he still had 11 tackles, 2 for a loss and 2 hurries in those two games. You have to consider how a guy plays against top teams when considering an MVP.
