It's hard to say because the sim has changed so much. I know a lot of the safety builds I've had were originally created for a pass heavy sim when WL championships were in the 60s and 70s with 50 and 60 passing attempts, and in today's sim you've got to plan for screens, counters, etc... so currently my guys probably have lower strength than most other safeties, but have higher agility and vision.
General rule of thumb I use for FS's and SS's --> vision is much more important to FS's as you can get by with lower agility and more straight line speed, with the inverse being true for SS's. I would say for a Pro/WL level SS, right now you'd need 140+ speed, and 85+ agility (the higher to 90 the better). You need that higher agility to avoid/get off the block of FBs and TEs.
With DvG and the other tackling VAs, you can probably get by with tackling just at the 3:1, but the elite HBs will still get you. Probably should push higher, with strength to the 3:1 at least as well. Either way, 2 MT% or 1 MT% and 1 AF % is probably a must. 1 PD% piece too, along with a SA piece for a fourth AEQ. For SAs, unless you're a STOP, I would think most are in the coverage tree. SV seems like a must, although even now I'm not sure what all good it does heh. I've always been a fan of closing speed, especially for FS's, and going forward I think ZF will continue becoming more and more important (of course, that is all dependent on your DC).
Just my two cents.
